shiv is working on a 1.5 dump tune. I plan on doing a 2.0 dump setup. I know shiv had a 2.0 setup at one time, and tuned it on the dyno. Now he has the 1.5 in order to tune. When I get my ESC, should I run the 1.5 tune, or try to get the 2.0 that he was working on earler?.. that is if i can get a 2.0 tune, or should the 1.5 tune give me enough overhead? I should probably ask shiv, but he is pretty busy with the 1.6 tunes

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

Alright, so I have an issue. Mid drive home from work tonight, my in-dash meter jumped up about 0.6 higher than it normally does, and kinda moved around a bit even outside of boost (like, up and down 0.1 or 0.2). If I tried to hit boost, it felt like nothing, and the meter immediately dropped to 16.0 or so. Then would go almost immediately up to 30 after, and settle back down to like 28.7 and start fluctuations again. It was fine minutes before that, but not since.

Any ideas here? No idea what I should even start looking at.

sounds like either batteries or controller. you could test the dump batteries with a voltmeter to rule them out, other than that it seems like you need to contact Rob.

Dump is not plugged in.
Dump has very loose connections.

Both main dump batts should read +12.7v.

Thanks, I'll contact Rob first next time. I'll double check connections in the AM -- but first glance everything looked snug... If I need any additional help after rechecking connections I'll PM Rob. Thanks all

I don't think he ever tuned anything in the 2.0 Dump. He just ran the same tune. It works fine he can just optimize it a bit for better results.

I know Rob said he made 226 with the 2.0 and the tq300 but then the controller sit down after 1 run. This was on 91 octane.

oh, ok thanks, didn't know it was on the same tune. Guess the 1.5 tune will work fine.

I finished up my battery bracket, and main harness. All I'm waiting on now is my 140A fuses and fuse holder from amazon. I doubt many people will go 2.0 but I'll post a diy for with what I did for any who are interested.

I don't think anyone has it, He posted that he had received Rob's 1.5 dump kit, and he was working on a new tune that would better manage the extra boost the kit gives at higher rpms.

*fenton beat me to it

Another "victim story".

I managed to pull in an open slot on a dual left turn, onto our "Stoney Trail", highway bypass loop. (no jokes on the Stoney thing please.) It was next to an Audi R-8. I chased him all the way down the on ramp, and strangely managed to hold 20ft off his rear bumper, up to the legal merge speed.

He was of course watching me in his rear view mirror, and holding me to whatever distance he chose. Meanwhile the noisy Ford eco-boost pickup that was behind him at the lights, faded into the distance of both of our rear view mirrors. All legal speed limit stuff... no laws broken. I have to say though, that an R-8 shifting at nice high RPM, just about broke my heart for the old days.
