@Reaper would a proper setup be a dual catch can setup like the radium cans and a check valve located between the pcv can and the intake manifold? With the breather can connected before the turbo intake?

We need to back up a second here. There are two ways to deal with this; you can vent to atmosphere (I prefer this and use the fullblown can) which will run the breather and the pcv line into one can with a filter/vent on top. NO PCV VALVE.
Or you can run a system that vents back into the motor. Crawford and a few others make a system like that. Youll need an upgraded pcv valve for this as this style uses vacuum from the intake to vapors from the crankcase. When under boost you are trying to force air INTO THE CRANKCASE that's bad and why you need a pcv valve specifically made for boost. This system also reburns all the vapor. Which means the can doesn't need to be drained much if at all. I'm on e85 which sucks up water so I want all that vapor out and into a vent to atmosphere can and not back into my combustion chamber. That's another reason I went vta and used the fullblown can.

You dont want anything before your turbo or you will fill your intercooler with oil if you do it wrong.

If i run a vented can, will I have a problem passing strict emissions? Ohio is very strict which is why I've been opting for a closed setup.
I was at the track a few days ago and someone had a boosted frs with a different kit. But the concept should still be the same. You can see where the breather tube can connects in front of the turbo. You are saying this is incorrect?

You can re-route back to the intake tract before the turbo, just make sure you have a proper can and the lines are run correctly. If they're not, you may as well not even have a catch can.
A boost specific PCV valve isn't necessary if you install a 1 way check valve between the catch can and intake manifold.

I'm running the Crawford catch can, but it is set up to vent to atmosphere.
The line that normally goes to the intake has a small filter on it. The FB turbo intake tube does not have the fitting for the line that runs from the CC to the intake to reburn gasses. |

That setup is basically setup like the stock system, but ideally you would want another can between the breather and the line going into the turbo or a setup where both the breather and PCV run through a can. N/A no oil really comes through the breather line. Radium makes a really nice dual can setup otherwise there is the Crawford AOS as well. Also listen to Reaper with regards to the PCV valve. Either take the valve out, get a turbo one which is actuated by vacuum (shuts under positive pressure) so you aren't pressurizing the crankcase, or get an inline valve like this: https://www.modernperformance.com/pr...o_oilcatchcans That one is really meant to replace a weaker "turbo" PCV valve, you can get a much cheaper plastic one also. The Vortech kit supplies one. |

If a vented can setup would pass emissions in Ohio, I'd opt for that since it is more simple. But if it won't, that won't work for me. Can someone c confirm that emissions doesn't worry about a vented catch can setup? I'd grab the full blown can if so.
