To each their own, but I think that carbon mess is uglier than the fob itself. :p

Lol. Or you can spend $200 for something that isn't anymore functional and will sit in your pocket 99% of the time that you're using it. There is a long list of nice, beneficial mods that can be had for $200. To each their own, as previously said.

i do these mods for myself, my interior is one example of just that, figured i can share info to help others. useless banter about useless vs useful vs $ spent is just that, useless.

i guess i'll just update it if or when i decide to do this.

You're right, the old key looks bland compared to this. But then again it is always in my pocket so I never see it.

I personally think it looks better than the $150 STI Holder.

I like the key fob to look nice for when I'm handing it over to someone, either to drive my car for pleasure (ladies, what's up?!) or the shop for repairs/work (mechanic, what's up?!). For $200 I think I'll be okay for now. Could buy TWO v2 shark fin antenna for that!

I have a feeling that fob is also shared with the next gen Prius slated to launch later this year.... just like how current gen Prius shares the same fob with our original Subaru fobs. LOL

We'll never be able to shake off the image "hand-me-down" from Prius parts' bin. hahaha

But again, it's just a key fob. Who cares?

We're talking about the '15 key fob and you're gonna throw in some 3rd party plastic antenna cover?

How about getting a '15 OEM shark fin?

I do what I want! I'm just saying, personally, for $200, I could spend it on something else. If the OEM antenna cover costs $200, I could still get 2 aftermarket antenna covers with that money.
