The safest driving method?

My buddy and I were discussing what was the safest way to drive, in regards to holding the steering wheel. Is it 9 and 3 or 10 and 2? I know it's a rather vague question but feedback regarding the ergonomic safety on which method is better would be appreciated. By the way I drive at 9 and 3 and so sometimes one hand on 12.

I agree with AAA 100% on this one. 8 and 4 for me always, when tooling around comfortably. 9 and 3 when "spirited"..

You have 3 hands?!

Traditional approach to steering wheel grip is 10 and 3. To my understanding, this was taught during the times when Power steering was not standard on the majority of vehicles.

Recent studies have shown that 9 and 3 are safer due to the addition of secondary retraint systems.

I usually keep my thumbs on the analog sticks and my index fingers on the triggers for gas and brake. Unless I've moved shifting to the d-pad.

I saw someone on the highway who had their car on cruise with the sunroof open..they were sitting on the sunroof ledge and steering with their feet.

Makes me want a sunroof now...

That "8 and 4" position looks kind of uncomfortable.
