Sure I can compare them
370z is much faster all around Frs is a couple thousand less and has 133 less hp. The frs would need to weigh 1800 pounds to have similar performance The Z has heritage and has an iconic history The z's big brother is the GTR The frs big brother is what the xb? There's your request granted |

I drove the 370z recently. The car feels solid, handles well, stops really well with great pedal feel, and sounds incredible! The car has plenty of power and feels really quick for 330hp.
The reason I picked the BRZ over the 370z was because of the back seat. Nissan needs the silvia back. There are no real problems with the 370z that I can see other than that and the price. To get a loaded z you will spend around 40k. The FA20 is not a very good engine. Hate me for saying it. But this engine is anemic, sounds like a tractor, mine has had hiccups starting and holding a steady idle at random. And the fuel pump can go to hell. Not sure why Subaru thinks its ok to be wailing the way it does on some days. Really, that's my only gripe with my BRZ. It just needs more refinement from the engine. More power would definitely not hurt. I live at high elevation and the power is disappointing. It redeems itself every time I get sideways in the rain though. ![]() The transmission seems very much like all the other Aisin transmissions I have experienced. 2nd gear hates high rpm shifting, is notchy when cold etc. Transmission should be smooth with 10k miles on it. I'll add one more thing... The 370Z has terrible rear visibility. Atrocious. That's my one big gripe about it from my limited experience. Last edited by Coheed; 06-19-2014 at 05:45 AM. |

The fact is, the 370Z brakes from the sport package with the included "street" pads are FANTASTIC in daily driving, unless your daily driving involves repeated, back-to-back stops from over 100 mph.

Rearward visibility is always a challenge in most sports cars.. That's why they are made to go fast so you can stay up front and not worry about what's behind you.. |

Maybe C&D was right about the lack of airflow in the 370z's design. Quote:

If he can claim the GT-R as the Z's big brother, can the Twins claim the LFA as a second cousin? |
