It's a lot of money to put into a new car to address all three of those.

To equip the 370Z with a brake system that is that lacking highlights a very big problem in the way they wanted to take the car versus the final route they took. I know the Twins have issues with brakes as per Motor Trend's Laguna Seca test but the Twins are a lot less expensive, lighter and don't have a fancy factory performance spec package either.

Also looks like oil coolers are still recommended for track days, even for the newer models. I agree with you on brakes though. To me, that's the smallest issue to resolve. I wouldn't track most cars without pads/fluid anyway, and if the 370z needs ducting on top of that, it's fairly cheap.

I find it very hard to compare the Z to a twin. As many have stated before I think it's more of a direct competitor with Genesis, Mustangs, Camaros, etc.

Because the fact is that they are in the same SCCA class for Solo2. At the moment they are pretty close in terms of performance on an autocross course but at this point it is looking like the 370Z is may actually a bit faster despite its weight. |

Yeah I thought that they would be in two different classes (my opinion) non-professional non-experienced but enthusiast opinion. They have so much more power and torque. After driving the Z I was impressed with the power.

There's like 3000 threads on it. There was even a tsb on it. From what I researched Nissan changed some small internal part that caused this issue again in the 370z. I know the vq35de motor never had problems. |

You definitely can't compare the frs to a 370z or 350z... they are 2 different markets for sure.
Personally I am a Nissan guy but the frs looks gorgeous. To me being in my 30s now and not wanting to mod every inch of a car the frs lacks options. Options I mean hids factory, big brake kit, recaro or some sport seats and lastly more power. The car was so beautiful but I would need to drop at least 10k out of pocket to make it something I would drive. I am excited to see the 2016 version I am hoping they put a high powered 4 cylinder turbo motor and offer a trd version or something that offers seats brakes etc for performance. |

They are definitely two different markets. Most of the comparisons are done because of price point. So technically they are in direct competition for someone looking for a car in the 30 grand range. Using that logic. they 370, twins, mustangs, camaros, accords, civics... etc etc are all in direct competition.
the twins are in direct competition of numerous models to someone who is in the market for a "Car". |

C&D specifically said upgrading the pads and fluid didn't fix the problem. And I find that ridiculous, given the huge size of the front rotors (14") and relatively average weight of the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
