Just the tires should get you that amount of time and more. Yellows cut down on the body roll a lot but I realized that I wanted more, hence the switch to tarmacs/bilsteins. If you think you'll eventually want to bump up from springs, I would just do it, but yellows with stock dampers are also a heck of a lot of fun and should help you out big time.

I've noticed since I've gotten the new tires on that on heavy steady state cornering I'm getting some "bouncing", for lack of a better word, in the rear of the car on the side that is loaded. I typically drive with all the nannies on and I'm wondering if this is a result of the stability control or traction control intervening excessively or if this is something else. Ideas?

Hey RCE,
I'm curious what to expect from your RCE swaybars. I recently picked up a set or RCE adjustable sways because I have been getting a little too much understeer on the autocross. I'm really hoping to reduce body roll a bit more as well, without going to coilovers. Also, admittedly, I haven't played with tire pressures and that might very well cure the understeer issue. my setup: I have RCE yellow springs, 18x8.75 wheels with 225/40 Pzero Rosso's on all 4 wheels. I've got camber bolts up front, but the best they could do at the alignment shop was -1.1*. Rear camber is about -1.6*. What can I expect to experience from the RCE sways? Should I start at the soft setting (the outermost hole i think)? Will the swaybars increase my overall grip and help me go faster? Or do they actually reduce grip? I think the former.. but I wanted to make sure. Thanks! |

the ST classes are specifically for street tires, there are no slicks there.

Did I bed these in enough? HC+800
They squeal a bit, only at low speeds with light pedal pressure. I'll hose them off later. The dust is sorta caked on there after the bedding session. Before ![]() After

Doubt I bedded them in enough. After driving on the street some more, part of that bluish layer faded. I just hope they get quieter. I don't think telling a girl "because race car" will fly.

She was like 'Your $3k brake kit sucks.' I responded by saying 'Because Race Car' and slamming on the brakes. When I drop in new pads I'll try to do a better job of bedding, but right now the damn things stop so well.

Just a friend of mine, yeah. He's on slicks and all which is why I want to put down a better time than him so bad.

I am a suspension noob, can anyone help me with a DD setup? I plan on lowering my car with either RCE yellows or Eibach Prokit and planning on a set of wheels that are 17x9 245/40/17. I will do some autox and trackx in the summer months. My concern is how much camber should I dial in? In the winter I'll be running stock wheels with snow tires. I understand there is probably a compromise to be made but what would be a good balance? Thanks for any help.

Something along the lines of BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2's. Not sure which is considered the best moderately priced summer/performance tire. I had the g-forces on my integra previously and they were ok. I'll run them as my dd from like april-october and then winters from november-march.
