@SilverlightPony, just in case your question wasn't answered; Yes! The O+ sound solution will work with your Kenwood HU. It's just a matter of specifying "Other" when ordering and our sound team will reach out to you via phone or email to get you setup with the proper solution.

If I purchased a used system from an FR-S, would I be able to use it in my BRZ?

@ericmpena, from an installation stand point; all the steps would be the same. What you'll need that wouldn't come with the used kit is a new Fuse Holder Assembly and to send your amplifiers in to our lab for reconfiguration for your radio (we want to ensure your experience the O+ signature sound specific for your BRZ).

Be sure to PM or call us for any additional questions.

Thanks for the official answer, but I've since decided to go with a Ca-Fi Dashlinq4 HU, which I've already ordered.

I saw posts from at least one person saying they'd sent their Ca-Fi HU to you guys so you could get your system set up with it properly. How'd that turn out?

@SilverlightPony, our time with CA-FI was extremely productive and we are very happy with the sound reproduction results of this unit with the O+ Reference 400CF.

Overall the Ca-Fi is a nice upgrade. Great fit in terms of output characteristics to our system. Lots of customization options and looks OEM.

Just curious. Do those of you with this system drive around with the back seats up or down?

@CruiseZen, we can't speak for all our Listeners on whether seats up or down. However we can tell you from sound engineering stand point that both the Reference 400CF and the System 400+ are tuned to deliver the O+ Signature Sound (and deep bass reproduction) with the seats in the up-right position.

The OEM Audio Plus tuning process takes into account the entire acoustics of your vehicle (rear seats, door cubbies, road noise, exhaust and so on). Additionally your O+ solution takes into account the output characteristics of your radio (factory or aftermarket). This is how we can guarantee our Clean, Crisp, Clear sound reproduction the moment you plug your kit in.

Another used system has come up for sale, this time it matches my exact car, a BRZ.
Would I still need a new Fuse Holder Assembly?
The seller has the system configured to Robust. How much trouble is it for me to switch it to Balanced instead?
If it needs to be sent in, how long is the turn around time to get the system back?
Also, is there any way to tell if the system would still be covered with a manufacturers warranty?

@ericmpena it would be ideal to get a new Fuse Holder Assembly (uncrimped, built-in solder not actived and heat shrink not shrunk). The results a clean install.

You'll want to send your Amplifier into the O+ lab for recalibration if the Balanced Reproduction is desired. This process can be accomplished and shipped out in the same day in most cases.

We standby the reliability and quality of our sound solutions - Any operational related issues will be covered under our 3 year from the date of the original purchase.

How much does a new fuse holder assembly cost from you? Also, how much does it cost to have the amplifier recalibrated to balanced?

Here is a link to my rear view mirror running OEMAudio+ Reference and a ca-fi head unit. I was worried about a little 8" sub giving me adequate bass in the vehicle. No worries needed. Not over the top but still hits hard.

All flat eq out of the ca-fi. Sound just the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 built in camera...

Now I just have to decide if I want to attempt installation myself or get some professionals to handle it. :/
