I think they only fit one way but I'm just trying to rule some things out after a p219a, 119f and 119e code after the OFH install a week or so ago.

Currently stock tune for a dealer visit tomorrow and man the car feels slooooo. Only problem is my long term fuel is at +12 after flashing stock which seems way too high.
just got home and checked, gray in the front, black in the back (create whatever sexual/perverted mnemonic device to help you remember)

Okay great thats what i have it plugged in to.

The issue im having is just really weird, the log i took a couple days ago shows normal fuel trims and now after re-flashing and putting the stock intake in they are way positive on the LT.

Granted i have not driven the car much since i flashed it, mostly just let it idle and it decided to sit at about +10 to 12 on the LT fuel adjustment.

I should note that the first time i flashed back to stock i forgot to connect the breather line back to the intake, this caused the fuel trim to go to +25 almost right away. Once i figured i forgot that connection i double checked all my other connections and everything is tight. I flashed the phantom tune and then back to stock tune and now it is sitting at the aformentioned +12.

I dunno maybe i just need to drive it a bit.

CEL - P0420

Question - with ESC + Borla UEL + OFT, I have gotten a CEL with code P0420 (Catalytic Converter Efficiency Below Threshold) on 3 occasions in the last 4 months. I had thought that the OFT tune was supposed to disable that. I used Torque to clear the code and it doesn't come back within a short amount of time. If I had to spitball a non-scientific guess as to when it happens I'd say within a short time of engaging the ESC at a questionable (low-ish) RPM.

Anyone experiencing anything similar? @shiv@vishnu - am I correct that this fault code should be disabled by the OFT tune?

No, he left it on for leak detection.
If you are sure that your header is not leaking, you can always just disable it.

Looks like i was probably right. I just needed to put some miles on it. After about 10 minutes of driving it this morning the trims came back into normal range for the most part and the car pulled alot harder after that.

Thanks,

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

Would anyone feel comfortable sending me their stock ROM and their OFT ESC tune? I'm itching for an installation but not hearing anything from the OFT guys about whether they even got my stock tune that I sent them. I might just run the diff myself and make my own map based on the differences in someone else's stock vs. ESC map.

Either that, or how safe is it to run ESC on an OFT Stage2 UEL map? I know someone said the ECU already handles up to 5psi out of the box... At least until I hear back from the great dudes over at Vishnu.
@shiv@vishnu any advice here?

Also I should clarify -- don't mean anything negative towards Shiv and co. They are awesome, and I know he's been busy fixing some FLKC logging issues. I'll be switching to their map when I get it even if I do build my own. Just thinking about ways to get the ants out of my pants haha.

I think it gets coded to your VIN if im not mistaken. Email shiv@vishnutuning.com .... he should get back to you fairly quickly once you send him your stock ROM.

Dont run the car on stage2 ROM, it won't blow up if you dont boost but you really don't want to take any risks running anything but the tune the car is meant to run on.

Oh, bummer about the VIN coding -- I know a lot of other tunes from them are completely open source. I have enough knowledge to mimic changes if I was able to see what changed between someone else's stock file and their tune. I could then at least run the same changes/thresholds, but applied to my own stock file. If they are uneditable tunes, though, that theory won't work.

And yeah, I'd certainly keep it out of boost or keep it unarmed -- it would just be to get everything installed while I have a little extra spare time. Have family coming to visit this weekend, so getting the bulk of the installation done and only having to flash and arm would be an option.

But I think you're right, I'll probably wait and instead email shiv directly and see what I can get done. I have a feeling replying and sending my stock tune to sales@vishnu may have gotten lost in the sea of emails. Hopefully I'll have better luck sending to shiv directly.

Thanks for the advice!

I have the same set-up and never got a CEL code. But then again, I don't engage the ESC at questionable RPMs. It was always 2.5k+.

Openflash tablet is open source, meaning you can share tunes. What's your stock Rom model. Mines A01C, if you have the same,I can email you the OFT esc tune

Shiv actually got back to me within minutes of emailing him. I'm sure my email just got lost in the sales sea, and so once Shiv saw something he was on top of it. I'm all set now, no need for map tweaking on my end

I really admire how solid Shiv is when it comes to customer support/communication.

While the tablet is open source, it is possible for them to release uneditable tunes. They did that once with a few of their beta OTS maps, and then when they were done tweaking they released the full editable copy. I was thinking fenton was referencing that, but since those aren't locked by VIN but rather by file format/encoding, it makes sense that the ESC maps are also open source. I'll probably dive in to a diff between stock and the map Shiv gave me to really see what he changed. But for now I'm all set. Thanks for the offer!

Right, I should clarify as well -- the tablet "community" is open source. The actual source to the actual tablet software is not available, and like I mentioned above uneditable tunes are possible. But the community operates under an open source paradigm most of the time when working with OFT, because Vishnu has set that precedence with their tunes.
