I'm fairly certain it's suppose to go over the emblem.

Just installed mine, not too shabby. It was a lot thinner than i was expecting.

Ya, I noticed in the pics it's a bit bigger than the recess.

Maybe you can grind/file it down a little to where that outer border bump is, and then maybe it'll fit perfectly inside the recess.

Looks real good though. Better than prior photos.

Thanks for posting the picture JonAvalon! I liked the look and purchased the matte black 86 emblem also. This will work until the T logo emblem appears.

I hope you have some pretty good liability insurance, or the company thats making them does... because when the airbag goes off I don't think that 3m tape will do much from keeping the badge from plowing into your head.

Some of the other ones maybe, but this is made of metal, pretty sure aluminium.

I spent last night grinding down the edges to fit in the recess.

Also to the ppl who bought the matte black and for some reason want the chrome, all you have to do is peel off the plastidip like coating.

I would prefer a Toyota one too, just because this 86 badge reminds me the belt of Mask Rider。 。。LOL

Ordered the matte black overlay. Just to tide me over until a more permanent solution presents itself. I appreciate all the work that went into getting Loden to offer that product to us.

Rubberized coating probably won't last long term, but not bad for $20.

How did you remove the small Scion logo off your touchscreen stereo frame?
