I think we got pretty much most of the updates sent out! Just finished some testing with two additional features:
Econ mode -- catless header only, 5-10% improved economy. Drift mode RR based traction control -- dial in the slip based on steering angle! Tested this as the wicked big meet last weekend, and happy to report it works perfect! Basically what we do is alter the traction control based on steering angle. You can now do all the smokey burnouts you want, but when you start turning the wheel mid-corner, it will pull out power if it detects slip. On the auto-x this is super valuable since it prevents any false triggering we might otherwise see with a very aggressive RR TC value. |

Just flashed with my update and of course, it's even better than before.
Also ordered a replacement overpipe and installed EBC. @moto-mike I think I'll be giving you another chance to drive an auto.. We have to get to 260whp this time.

We got those
Off-road use only in CA off course.JDL is currently ~3 week wait, HKS in stock, Borla in stock too. We should have another JDL unit on a local Kraftwerks car in a few weeks. Should make for a nice before/after combo since we just dyno'd it. |

I don't think we had those available yet last month. If you want send an email on which map you want the "drift mode TC" and we can update that. Also let me know if you want it on straightline only, drift, or blended of both.

Drift mode will only pull engine power when steering angle exceeds a certain amount, and it is progressive. So if you get in the slide, the more you correct for the drift, the more HP is pulled. Blended is a mix of both. The greater the percentage of slip front to rear combined with steering angle, the greater the torque reduction. This would've been great to test over the winter with the snow on the ground, but you can really feel it in auto-x conditions. Because it is slower speeds and tight corners you can really get a lot of slip on the higher HP cars, so this had a huge impact on the times we were able to run and made some runs more like drift exhibitions while others it looked like a normal auto-x car Below it was ON, hopefully I'll get around to doing a comparison video...

Another update is available. The idle dip issue should be completely resolved. Contact us for details, some have already gotten the beta map to confirm. This is specific to 6mt FI vehicles, but some NA cars have had this issue also (from the factory too not just tuned). All new maps will include this fix, update is free to current customers.
For those not following the JRSC thread or our FB page, here's our latest exploints with the JRSC kit on pump and e50! ![]() We've also made a change to our pricing scheme. To match what you'll find from competitors, we lowered the "entry" price of the ProECU kit. You'll get a basic tune as you would with an accessport or OFT, only when you upgrade to a premium tune, you won't have to switch hardware or master tuners! As many of our customers have "been around the block" paying for tunes 3 times over, we'd like to make it easier on folks to start off on the right foot from the get go! |

What flavor of pump gas was that? And were there any other mods on the car? I'm curious what a basic tune vs. a premium tune is. I haven't followed your facebook page as I don't have a facebook account. |

The "basic tune" is akin to what you get with an AP or some other offerings from competing tuners. Basically it is a canned flash that works on most vehicles. We'll double check it to make sure all is well, but it won't be the splitting hairs we do with our premium (formerly regular) tune. |

We got this log snip when working with a turbo customer a couple of weeks ago. What happens when a misrouted wastegate is employed? Normally fireworks and rods exiting the vehicle. However with the case here, the motor was saved. You can see a few things in the log: The timing goes way negative, and engine acceleration all but comes to a halt. The engine normally takes on a deeper growl and sounds miserable. That's the cue that something isn't right and it is time to double check things. Here when you look at the data, you can see that this BRZ tried to spike to 2.2 bar, that's 18 PSI on the stock motor! Though some employ a fuel cut to aggressively shut the motor down, that can have its own consequences. That brief period ends up making the motor run lean and can cause a large detonation event when paired with high boost. Here we are basically not lighting off the spark until the rod and piston have started moving away. This creates a larger area for the combustion to happen, and greatly reduced cylinder pressures. End result? It gives you a second chance. Wastegate lines are cleaned up and we are resuming tuning.
