I will probably not go through with it because of the high cost and I really doubt there is enough interest for them, in order for me to make my money back.
Make 50. I'm sure some of us will be happy to pay for the premium.

Well...I got another update. Apparently, the good high quality emblem maker I've been emailing back n forth with, tells me all their emblems are only made and meant for flat mounting surface...so this totally X's out that possible plan, lol

Additionally, I can't afford having a batch made (around $700...F that lol). So, I am totally forgetting about even producing these.

BUT...I have been doing a little research on that Loden company...and they indeed seem like the perfect and best emblem making company for our desires. They seem very high quality and can even make emblems for domed/curved mounting surface applications (like our intended Scion airbag emblem).

Check this out!:
http://www.lodenemblems.com/services...uminum-emblems

Looks pretty darn high quality don't it?

I already emailed them and messaged them about my suggestions (aforesaid in this thread) about making one of those aluminum formed emblems in that link, with a Toyota "T" logo inside of it....via and inspired by the 01-03 Prius airbag emblem (google it). The "Loden Formed Aluminum Emblem" and the 01-03 Prius emblem looks like exactly the same style too doesn't it?!

Best of all...If I can convince them to do it, then I don't need to go through the hassle of doing it myself, shelling out my own pocket money and having them made, and trying to sell them, ha.

We'll see.....I will def give an update if Loden conacts me back with my suggestions and inquiries.

I think a Cleared Over Formed Aluminum Toyota "T" emblem would be hot as shizzz and would be the best emblem ever.

edit: if you think about it...the oem BRZ airbag emblem style is very similar to my suggestion - 2D, cleared over formed aluminum with logo inside the clear material.

Even the OEM Subaru BRZ emblem is a 2D "formed aluminum cleared over emblem"

It only makes perfect sense that making a similar type of emblem with a Toyota "T" would be the best possible emblem replacement design

...not to mention even the new BRZ STi is also a "formed aluminum emblem"

Hopefully someone out there listens and will actually make it. Hopefully Loden is down to do so..

PETITION:

If you want the aforesaid Cleared-Over Formed-Aluminum Toyota "T" Emblem, then please show Loden your interest and request about them here:

http://www.lodenemblems.com/content/contact-us

The link (http://www.lodenemblems.com/services...uminum-emblems) states they need a required minimum MOQ's (minimum order quantity) in order to make custom formed-aluminum emblems. But, I think if we show them that there is enough interest, they may just make it on their own without the need for MOQ's or for someone to buy and have a big batch made.

Or, maybe we could even all possibly start some sort of group buy, to meet their MOQ. This seems like it may be a better option and highly possible.

Regardless...let them know your interest

Your post does not help anyone and only hurts the community.

Do you want everyone to be stuck with the disliked Scion badge, or only have the option of that "86" badge or to search for a Toyota emblem at the junkyard?

If, no, then please refrain from negative comments about it.

I don't care what anyone does to their car. Spamming this thread with your Prius badge wet dreams doesn't "help anyone", either.

Just got mine in the mail.

Just holding it up to the steering wheel, its a lil big and does not slip into the recess created by removing the scion badge, which I did well before this. I had also carved down the 4 lil nubs, maybe it was supposed to stick to those.

Will play with later tonight and see if I get it how I like it.

I completely removed my scion badge and it wouldn't stick. So I'm not sure if this is supposed to go over the existing emblem or not.

Thank god i had extra 3M tape laying around so I could get it to stick into place

BE SURE TO TEST FIT IT OVER YOUR EXISTING EMBLEM TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT IT WILL STAY ON
