AGREED!!!'

But I fear the weight of the 2.5 V6 might be a lot more than the 2.5 I4 engine.

They can up that engine to a 2.0 liter turbo also.

I wish Nissan luck; the 240 was a good car. But this isn't a fight that can be won half-assed. Ultimately, like the STI and Evo, competition will make both parties stronger.
If this car came up just a bit short in the handling dept. of the FRS/BRZ but came up big in power, particularly torque then I can accept that over a slight edge in handling.

If Nissan revives the 240SX or Silvia name, and Honda revives the spirit of the S2000 in a sub-$30k car, I will go nuts. Good job Subaru for bringing some enthusiasm back into the market.

Nissan is up to something thats for sure

they have trademarked a few interested names for the G series

G35h, G30t and G22d

I can't see why they wouldn't make a smaller RWD car since thats prob what got them a lot of fans were their small rwd cars

And if there were rumors of a Turbocharged or Supercharged FT in the works?

If Nissan does this, and they don't let the design creep get out of control, this could make for a great era of small, light, sportscars.

Hell if Subaru did a FA25 I would rather that over a turbocharged/supercharged Nissan competitor.

Yeah, I threw that on there as if the FR-S gives Scion the push it was looking for in sales, then I could see Datsun being brought back to the US in a similar light!

I'd rather have an I6. So balanced and smooth.

The 370Z is already below 30k so I can see the next 240 replacement maybe closer to the frs in price in the 24k area

I'm really hoping Nissan would rival the FR-S/BRZ. C'mon.
