assuming like others, that you have a tune already, You could just drop in a K&N (~$45). Should be good for an extra ~5hp over 4500 rpm, or just wait till your next scheduled replacement and get one then, so you will only be spending a little more than just replacing the factory unit. Really no downside to this. Someone in here with an esc recently did multiple dyno runs with various mods on/off, like intake/snorkle. Maybe we can find it.

Other than that I would probably say the 1.5 dump pack is about $200 for an extra what.. 10~12 hp starting at 5000 rpm?. If you already have the smaller starter battery, then there really is no down side to this either.. but just my .02c

*most of these numbers are from my vague memory and may not be accurate.

I believe that with better summer tires the stock frs + esc can do 13.9xx at the track not to mention the actual strip has better grip then the bumpy hwy

Edit; time to update the spread sheet in the phantom owner thread lol

Here's a little video of my last run at Buttonwillow. The ESC was pretty hot by this point with pretty much back-to-back 20 minute sessions. With the ESC I could get 103-105mph on the main stretch, without I could only get ~97mph.

I'm using Harry's Lap Time + ODBII Bluetooth Reader + GoPro Hero 3+ Black + new software I came across called Dashware. I was sold on it when I saw they had custom made gauges for the FRS/BRZ

Just received my 1.5 conversion tray and installed the 0.5 dump pack. Any more height with the extra tray and I wouldn't be able to screw in my battery tie-down, as the washers are only a couple of treads in before it became tightened. Looks like it fits just right.

Here's the other 2 runs just to check for consistency

Maybe Torque Pro just reads really slow... I have trouble seeing how I'm losing 0.8 seconds to you - even if I'm not hitting it quite so hard. That's a heck of a lot of time.

And the fact that Torque Pro read a 6.3 when starting in 2nd gear. It felt like a 7.3 compared to hitting it hard in 1st.

0-60 time is at the 14 sec mark at 5.46

the other two videos will be up shortly, just kinda slow uploading

Awesome run man. That was the perfect launch and awesome shift into 3rd. Love chipping third :-)

Most likely it's torque that's giving you the bad readings, go grab a gtech, only 200usd for the new gtech pro ss and its the most accurate non actual strip measurement. It's known and accepted by many car enthusiast community, all of which agrees to the Claims of+/-.01 accuracy.

Not too expensive - I'll have to look into it... but the upcoming family Disney trip will likely prevent further car expenditures for awhile.

@fenton lets meet up this week, I wanna go for rip lol,

anyways, Rob and I rigged a temp boost gauge few weeks ago just for fun.

[ame]http://youtu.be/anNCP4own3w[/ame]

This isn't the best video as I was having camera issues but 2nd gear 2RPM-4th, not shifting aggressively but just to show the gauge.
Im consistently hitting 4.7PSI according to the logs and just under 5 on the gauge @ 3K rpm when the batteries are all warmed up. I've noticed with the dumps you really gotta drain them a few times before they get going.

I might have to go give a 0-60 after seeing some of yours.

with apologies to the Beach Boys

I get pushed out of shape and it's hard to steer,
when I get rubber in the first three gears,
she's a little E S C,
you don't know what I got...

Edit: as I've stated before, I'm not trying to down play any turbo kit, simply saw your dyno post and thought hey that's pretty close to mines, if that's the avo stage 1 tune, the it's pretty comparable"
I'm sure you'll make lots more hp in the future and dominate the streets, more power to you bro,
Please don't put words in my mouth. It didn't take any additional mods to hit 240hp (yes 240, not 245, sorry I rechecked old numbers to be accurate). All it took was to replace the wastegate actuator with one that held pressure, and plugging a leak in my headers. That's all. Once I did that and was no longer leaking boost like a sieve the off the shelf AVO tune was good for 240hp. So yes the $100ish for a new waste gate actuator was a fantastic investment for an additional 60 hp.

Any comparisons to my stage 1 dyno are really kinda useless. I had all sorts of dramas and parts that weren't working correctly at the time of that dyno. My car was only holding 3psi at redline. I just didn't air all my grievances in the dyno thread as they're covered in my build thread. Actually I was pretty specific about how disappointing I found the car when that dyno was done and the issues I had at the time. Then I found even more underlying dramas down the line that would have affected that dyno as well. Just I found them long after I stopped caring about updating my build thread.

If you want a better look at what a stage 1 AVO kit with an OTS tune can do look at my dyno chart directly below the one you quoted. It's the custom tune, but that only netted me 10% extra power so 27hp, over the AVO tune. The shape of the graph was pretty much the same. As mentioned the only mod between that and my stage 1 was a 7psi actuator, because my stage 1 actuator wasn't working. I have the dyno of the AVO tune around somewhere, but it was done nearly a year ago and even then had issues so really can't be bothered finding it.

Anyways just thought you should be aware that the dyno chart you were comparing it to had a lot of underlying problems and was only 3psi. All that really matters at the end of the day is you're happy with your car and your ESC.
