Here's a total guess on my part. Were talking no sooner than mid-May. Based on Jack saying East coast ships first and that takes 4 weeks, plus they were allowing changes up until Friday midnight sounds like the boats haven't been loaded yet. I suppose some could already be in route since they did say a change could delay your unit's arrival.

The trip letter did say we would be contacted soon after the trip for a delivery date so I really think we'll know something soon.
I'll bet you that the First 86 cars are being loaded in the same boats as the first BRZs, then loaded onto different trucks to direct them to the appropriate dealer once they reach port. The timeline of rumored sale of the BRZ and the estimate for First 86 delivery seem to line up very nicely.

Jack acknowledged that Subarus will be selling before the Scions, but they'll be sold as received, rather than Scion's strategy of ensuring that each dealer has at least one unit on hand before opening sales.

The First 86-ers near ports will be taking delivery earlier than those inland, and it might be a separation of weeks between the first and the last based on location and if any changes were ordered when they were confirming our selections. One of the Scion technical people said the pearlescent paint for the Whiteout is a 4-stage process that requires being put through the line multiple times at the factory, so those might be good candidates for delayed delivery, especially if you switched over.

Public release is still June, but from I heard, I wouldn't count on more than 3 weeks of exclusivity for the First 86 batch.

Definitely saw him on the monitors. Definitely entertaining. I wonder if he still found it funny after the beer wore off.

Wouldn't surprise me although it will probably still be months before you start bumping into fellow FRSers in the mall parking lot.

I enjoyed meeting all of the other First 86ers in Long Beach. What an amazing trip and experience.
I finally got home this morning at 3:00 am after many flight cancellations out of Dallas yesterday. After being told that the first available flight from Dallas to home would be on Tuesday, I decided to drive the last 400 miles. About 2 miles from my house, after rounding a curve on a two lane road going about 60 mph, I encounter a deer in the road. After heavy braking and maneurving I miss it.... aka Ken Gushi and his deer experience. Just one more memory of the trip!

Gushi put in a good showing for a first outing. aof course any event is better in the VIP box. We got one of the black FRS hats, another FRS thumb drive, a tshirt from Greddy racing, a greddy serial number plate keychain Scion Socks. (yes socks) and half price at the Scion Racing Booth. Picked up two FRS hoodies for the boys at home. Others bought some FRS hard and Greddy racing jerseys.

Some of us also snagged the Reserved for First 86 Owners Only laminated sheets off the tables for the garage.
Yeah we sure got loaded up!!

I totally missed the 1/2 price at Scion booth? Just verbal or a card in swap bag?

Fun trip!! Def Exceeded my Expectations !!!!

LFA was an icing on cake to see/hear

If you walked up they gave you the discount, it spread a little by word-of-mouth but didn't get to everyone. I totally missed out on the Blue FRS hat but they said it be up on the website in a few days.

Fabulous trip! One of the best customer promo trips I've been on (and I've attended a couple of dozen in other industries).
