Thanks for all the pics and info. So who is going to get vin#1? Is Scion going to make the first 86 car special in any way? Did anyone ask?

They asked us if we want something like a badge in our cars and we were all for it, "1 of 86" rather than a number, something like release series is what we all wanted and they said they'd work on it, but nothing explicitly stated either way

'1 of 86' is a pretty cool idea as long its decently subtle. Smack dab on the passenger dash might be trying to hard. |

Yep, it is very possible a later buyer will get an earlier VIN then a 1st86er because of color, etc. In particular if you switched color or transmission its very likely there will be gaps. The first ones on the boat and released at the docks to dealers go to the 1st86 but they will have already built more than that. Jack mentioned round 300.
The red one in the group photo had VIN 0003. would also guess dealer demos may be in the first build lot but no official word ok that. One thing Jack mentioned, it takes 9 days by boat to Long Beach and 26 or 29 days to the east coast. The east coast ones will be on the ship first to try to flatten out the difference but there is no plan to have a single delivery date. They will not arrive at dealers at the same time.

Here's a total guess on my part. Were talking no sooner than mid-May. Based on Jack saying East coast ships first and that takes 4 weeks, plus they were allowing changes up until Friday midnight sounds like the boats haven't been loaded yet. I suppose some could already be in route since they did say a change could delay your unit's arrival. The trip letter did say we would be contacted soon after the trip for a delivery date so I really think we'll know something soon.

+1!!
Still don't completely understand the whole thing but it was certainly entertaining. The first round was filled with wall bounces right in the front of us. Gushi put in a good showing for a first outing. aof course any event is better in the VIP box. We got one of the black FRS hats, another FRS thumb drive, a tshirt from Greddy racing, a greddy serial number plate keychain Scion Socks. (yes socks) and half price at the Scion Racing Booth. Picked up two FRS hoodies for the boys at home. Others bought some FRS hard and Greddy racing jerseys. Some of us also snagged the Reserved for First 86 Owners Only laminated sheets off the tables for the garage.
