I'm not sure yet... maybe painting the wheels would be the better solution? But to find the perfect color again, won't be easy...

Maybe I will try it on two wheels and put them on one side of the car for some time...
I've only used total of about 6 cans. Which was about 50 bucks.
I used 2 cans of black for base.
2 cans for copper
2 cans for smoked.
Reason why I used more of copper and smoked is just to get the right color tone. Now if I have to redo it, then I'm sure I would need only 4 cans. Also, even if you want to spend less, you can skip the smoked and use less copper.

And then about 2 copper metalizer - 40€
And then about 2 smoke - 40€

which is 130€ (177$)

I don't know about the 4 cans copper/smoke, because it's hard to tell how much of a can is needed to make one layer.
Well, over there in germany, it is way expensive then here us.
I got black from lowes @ $5.xx per can.
Copper & smoked were 8.99 per can from pepboys but got 20% off coupon so net price was $7.19.

You may like the tone after very light coat of copper is added on black base. If this works, one can of copper is more than enough.

When you are using metallizer kind of color or color enhancer, you should use light coat at a time to get the tone what you wanted/like, but in my case, I kinda overly sprayed that is why I used smoked to get the darker tone back. Then I over sprayed again with smoked. It came out too dark so had to use left over copper and smoked to get the tone I needed. & it was night time when I did it first so if you are going for it, make sure you do it in day light.

What do you think would happen, if I apply the Copper Metalizer right on my white rim and may use some smoke to darken it down?

I don't think you will get bronze with white base even with smoked on top of that. Copper metallizer and smoked are not solid color. Those are transparent colors. It may work but I would suggest for you to use black and very light copper on black. You can put more of copper if you wish.
More copper, brighter bronze tone.

But when speaking of copper, you do mean copper Metalizer right on black, right?

What's a good combination for a glossy silver? I can't decide on the base coat, because I don't want it to be a dark silver, I want it to more or less match the silver paint on my car.

Could I use just glossifier and silver metalizer?

Planning on doing this. I know it's "ricey", but I'm gonna do red in front with a black spoke and black in rear with a red spoke.

We all have a lil rice inside of us its ok. It'll be interesting so remember pics! Ive been getting a bit of compliments from people asking where I bought my rims and the look of their face when I said I just dipped it was priceless. 1 suggestion tho, try black red spoke front right and rear left and red black spoke on front left and rear right, that'll be more interesting haha

Good idea! I'll try that out haha. That's what's great about plastidip.. If I don't like it I can change it

Should have pics by the end of next week, waiting for the dip in the mail.

Re-dipped my wheels and strakes today:

That's 6 wet coats of Fierce Pink, no white base coat or glossifier. Very pleased with how it turned out. This is a great match to STI pink if anyone is looking for that kind of thing

Love it! I've almost convinced my fiancee to let me buy her an FRS lol and I'd do the pink/black with it.
