In general terms:
Custom "2JZ" engine Custom oil pan Custom engine mounts Custom intake manifold Custom exhaust manifold Custom exhaust system Custom ECU Custom cooling solution Custom transmission Custom transmission tunnel Custom firewall Custom dashboard Custom center console Custom drive shaft Custom rear subframe Custom rear diff Custom rear axles Custom fuel system And then there's all the other stuff you'll have to fabricate that you'll discover along the way.

This is really all you need. Slap it on your FA20 and you're good to go!

LOL
You would need to re-do pretty much the entire drivetrain, modify the firewall, tunnel, etc. Basically, since there doesn't appear to be enough room for the length of a 2jz, you'll be stripping the entire car down, cutting nearly the entire firewall and driveshaft tunnel up, fabricating a new enclosure... You know what? it'll be cheaper to buy a supra and put a GT86 "body kit" on it... |

I would seriously look into swapping the 20 valve 4AGE big port engine into your car

You'll get the torque and the power, but you'll also get the weight of the cast iron block effectively messing up the balance that makes this car special.

I think Wise was referring to the 2jz... Actually, why stop at a 2jz when you can swap in a big block Hemi? To offset the weight balance, put lead weights in the trunk!
