Shame that those of us who've been ready to throw cash at Rob for one since about Feb this year are still twiddling our thumbs, and with probably at least a couple more months to wait. If not longer.

The spruiking that you guys (who have an ESC already) do is totally pointless if supply can't meet demand. "Just buy it" ...ummm not possible.

Dtek is on the list for the next batch. He was one shy of the may batch that sold out in 2 days.

I believe there is 5 already on the July batch.

If you wanted to buy in February, how'd you end up missing out last time? I wasn't even sure I wanted to buy until the very end of March... I placed my request to be put on the list on April 23 - the day that Rob told everyone on here to message him to be put on the list.

I hope that you don't think that I was pointlessly trying to do any "spruiking"<-dtek , only reason for my post is to convince people like
stevo585 who posted a comment about what was keeping him from buying.

anywho, Placed my order like 7-10 days before the May batch was shipped. so i'm not sure why you aren't on the list if you wanted one..

edit: dont quote me on the 7-10 days thing.. ^^ I have really bad short and long term memory O_o

The Phantom ESC is roughly $2-3k less if installation labor is factored in. Chasing 250 HP would only be worthwhile if it maintains the other advantages of the kit. Yeah I would love a ride in one, your right it probably would change my mind.

*on that note:

used exacto knife to cut out the vents. I needed a larger blade because the knurling on the handle kept gouging the grille

Cut out a template. I later had to modify it some to clear everything. The tabs on the side are too long to fit in with the hose hooked up, and the top sticks out too far and hits the grille

Hose from Advance auto, ~$12

mounting bracket cut out of an old filing cabinet divider I found.

Got a 3'' sheet metal duct from lowes for ~$3. I cut off the end, locked it together then flared the end with a hammer and vise. I had to cut notches out of it to fit between the top and bottom of the bracket.

Clips and screws from lowes ~$2. I had to modify the bottom to fit(notice the 45 degree cut, If you can find the proper part number, you will save yourself some headaches by getting the actual Toyota fog light speed nuts

A mock up of assembly. I had to take it back apart and cut more off the 3'' flange, it was too wide to allow the hose to bend so that the bracket could slide into place

Mounted up.. I may have to go back and paint everything black

I unclipped the headlight connector from the body mount and pushed it to the side to make room for the hose. I don't have a money shot pic... At least not until Early Aug (crosses fingers), hopefully I will be in the July batch.

And everything back in place.

total cost ~$25

You were the very last one to get in on may batch

I know because I was at the shop visiting Rob not long after he declared the new batch and waited for PMs to come in.

Thanks, I added text to the pics saying the same thing on the last one. I have been driving around for about a month with my grille taken out. I was kinda of eager to have everything put back together. (I didn't want to break the grille taking it out/putting it back in every time I came up with a new idea)

Those of you without fog lamps are making this look easy.
