A thought for all of our Ontario/Quebec friends

Boys 'n gals, I totally didn't realize but it's Formula One in Montreal!!!! We can't make it for that reason as we always attend (I personally haven't missed a week-end in 20 years). Sorry to bail last minute but I completely forgot it was F1, I'll post up some pics tomorrow

I won't make this one either. I want to...it sounds like a lot of fun. Ang wouldn't be able to go, and 14ish hours of driving on a Sunday would kick the crap out of me. Damn. I've been back and forth on this for the last week. For anyone who hasn't been on one of the cruises yet, this is a great group to drive with.

Understand completely. I too have been to a couple of F!'s in Montreal and it's a special weekend for sure. Enjoy yourselves!!!!!! We'll try to hook up later this summer.

Small suggestion though as I'm from the Hawkesbury area.
Take the 327 all the way down to the 344 and make a stop at the Carillon Dam. Pretty scenic and nice place. The 344 is my favorite driving road. I believe it's $3 to get in, and it's a national historic site, and the lock is pretty damn cool to see (pun intended).

Yeah, the 344 is nice too, though I never stopped at the dam. I've seen the dam many times from the other side of the water. Pointe Fortune/Rigaud have a lot of great roads to drive with very little traffic.

They're disappointingly quiet with the engine change it's deceiving though, they're just as fast as ever. I'm going to be writing a whole blog post on our site about it this weekend actually, I'll make sure to share

As for meeting, I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you and everyone from around here! I'm without a doubt setting up a meet at our offices before the end of summer, I'll keep in touch and once again sorry to bail last minute. I'm thinking a mid September meet might be the best attended, The weather is still very nice and more people will be able available. I found last year everyone's schedules made it difficult to organize any substantial meets. And yes the new F1 regulations have definitely affected the perceived power of the cars. Let us know how it sounds in person.

Cool thing happened to me today. So I just installed a Unichip, went out for a test drive. I notice a motorcycle from about 7-8 cars back zig zagging trying to get ahead. I turn right, a few secs later I spot him in the rear view mirror. I turn right again, so does he. I go left, he does to.

Now I'm certain he's following me so I pull over. Turns out he has been the proud new owner for an FRS for about a month, same color as mine (mines a brz) and he thought his son was going for a joy ride hehe. So I mention our little event tomorrow and he looked really interested, said he'd bring his GF. So looks like we gonna be +1 frs (+2 people)

September is probably perfect for us too! I'll definitely get a concrete plan going and make an all out even at our offices

It's REALLY quiet in person. There were the CTCC (Canadian Touring Car Championship) with SI's and a couple Evo's/STi, which were honestly louder (I'm not even kidding!!):

Apologies for the video quality, my email and photobucket both compressed it but the sound is fine. The only advantage of them being quieter is you can really hear the tires grinding in which is kind of cool too but I'd still rather the blisteringly loud 20,000rpm engines haha.
