I am also looking for catted uel header as well.

Main reason I want catted uel is 1) I want boxer rumble 2) but dont want my car to be too loud since my current set up is at the max noise level for my personal preference. Even with catted header, I may end up changing catback because I know it will be slightly louder than now.

It seems ft86sf is the only choice, but I wish more manufacturers make catted uel header so I can have more choice options.

It does suck that there aren't more options out there but FT86SF catted header is pretty damn good. It hardly increases volume if at all and it kills the torque dip. only down side is if you want a lot of subaru rumble you aren't going to get it with this header. It does rumble but nothing like borla, jdl or some of the other options out there and when it gets up above 5k it smooths out to a tone almost like a EL..... but not quite if that makes any sense lol.

I actually like the rumble of ft86sf produces. Lol
I was following their uel header post since they announced, but im holding back yet to make purchase since there are too many back ordered. Gosh I should've made purchase at the first preorder sale~

I got lucky because I jumped and got on the presale and i think i was the 10th person to get one lol. So far i feel like it was worth the money and wait. I had the same thought process as you as far as keeping the car from getting too loud while still getting the performance and i think it did the trick.

No, I don't know lol. I'm thinking out loud and asking questions at the same time. I was thinking that since I won't "need" a tune to eliminate a CEL, and therefore would be on a stock tune and the warranty wouldn't be voided? idk

But I do know that it's good/basically mandatory to get a tune after a header to accommodate the increased exhaust flow....so yeah. This is my dilemma.

I guess I could always call the dealership and ask them?? or is it better to try and sneak it by...

When I get a header, it will be catted. The fact that the FT86 header makes power without a tune and will not throw a cel AND has safe AFR's works for me. The P&L seems another viable option though equal length. JDL needs to step up...hint, hint.
