Just be thankful it was only 15 I recently modified my 3 inch exhaust and had my tune updated. There's supposed to be a boost cut in there for 13psi... So I took it to a high speed track for a shake down the next night and saw 20psi on the gauge down the back straight before wussing out lol. Keep in mind this was on stock injectors and fuel pump... But I have access to high octane fuel.

I also had a cracked dump pipe... But that was mostly my own fault. I was running a custom 3 inch front/overpipe setup but had taken out the flex joint in between the front pipe and catback... SO I had no flex at all and when I was pushing it hard at a track day I damaged the turbo gasket and cracked the weakest point in my exhaust system (being the dump pipe).

All part of the fun of running a heavily modified car hard at the track

This is an important point - if the exhaust system has no flex joint in the system, the stress of the system flexing from front to rear will likely cause a crack somewhere in the exhaust eventually. One end of the pipe is connected to the engine which moves quite a bit on the mounts, while the rest of it is fixed in place to the body.

For those of you that have the upgraded 8psi actuator....I can make my target boost but spool is much slower than before I installed it....maybe it's to loose?

I didn't create it but this video was helpful to me in adjusting preload and getting the rated psi of the actuator. In the end I also added a boost controller because getting to the avo turbo for adjustments is a PITA. The boost controller also helped reduce the spool time which is another reason people install them.

Nice thanks for the pics. How's the airflow if you have foglights?

I'm assuming it should be fine. I banged on it pretty hard last night on the highway and barely broke 95c (200f). I'm taking it to the track this weekend so we'll see if heatsoak becomes an issue.

Thanks!

I ended up buying some LED switchbacks for my turn signals so that I could preserve more of a foglight look while still having those holes for vents.

I recently got my v1 kit installed back onto my car with full 3" turbo back exhaust from AVO. The left exhaust tip is sticking out about an inch or two more than the right exhaust tip. Sent Paul pictures and he forwarded them to the factory.

I'm currently running the base map given to me from Paul, but had some issues when I tried to take it to get tuned. It seemed to run fine over the weekend but the day I drove to the tuning shop, my CEL came on. The code was P0171 and the tuning shop spent about 4 hours trying to diagnose the issue. They swapped the MAP sensor with other aftermarket ones but the code would not go away. I ended up reflashing back to Paul's base map and the code went away. Drove home and my car ended up dying when I exited the freeway. I was able to start it back up after and drive the rest of the way home.

I'm taking my car back to the shop that did the install and they're going to take a look over everything. I think there's a turbo header gasket leak, so Paul is sending me a gasket and hopefully fixing the leak will fix the issue. Then it'll be back on the dyno.

What was the shop using to try and tune it? Are they running ECUTEK?

Also, does the exhaust have any sort of adjustment on the hangers? I know the Perrin I run has hanger locks to be able to adjust the position of the exhaust.

edit: Also, that code means that it was running too lean, I'm guessing it may be a problem with the install. Have you tested for boost or vacuum leaks?
