I completely agree with you about that bonnet shut line.

I'm thinking about a vinyl wrap (maybe a carbon fibre look) in the shape of the bonnet I'd really like.

Pretty sure if you did that you'd be over the bumper structure and not the engine compartment. I'm guessing that's why it falls where it does. will try to look at one today. They had a couple on display at the Formula D event.

Of course if I keep watching the Barrett Jacskdon auction on Speed I may decide I need to spend all my money elsewhere!

I'm sure it serves an engineering purpose or can be as simple as keeping the hood as light as possible. Adding more length in the hood and less plastic in the bumper can be a matter of a couple pounds and $$ in manufacturing.

My Integra's hoodline was squared off like that and it was on those minor things that took away from having that aggressive front end look.

The MKIV had a nice hood line.
