So with the key forward and car not started yet drag reduction will be running? I often do that when done driving to purge the a.c.

If the car is off I wouldn't have the system armed if your key is in the on position. The reason why is that the starter battery at that moment is "charging" the dump packs and it's very easy to drain your starter battery.

My brother in law owns a '13 Genesis Coupe 6cyl. He had driven my car stock and I let him drive the ESC 1.5 today. He was very impressed. By my own admission, my modded car still does not accelerate as fast as his stock car (he is around 9.5 pounds per HP and ours are around 11.25 pounds per hp, I think)... but he was pretty amazed at the difference. I believe his comment was "this is exactly what the car needed... now you have a great handling car that gets up and goes. Now that I see how simple that is, I want to put it on my car."

He wonders if he could get up to or over 400 crank HP. Has anyone tried an ESC on the Genesis?

Better to flash tunes with the ESC disarmed?

Genesis makes to much hygiene the current system. It would make way more bottom end torque but would be a restriction up top with that big of a engine.

Does anyone else notice the response between wot and full boost? Seems like there's roughly a half sec to one sec delay, are there ways to negate this?

it would only be armed, DR only "runs" when it sees a vacuum in the intake tube

I notice it too... but I think it may be an "it is what it is" situation.

You can actually measure the delay precisely. Enable time, boost, and throttle in datazap. It's almost a second delay.

I think when I was measuring it I had 800ms from 0 boost to full boost.

Not too shabby:-)

If you think 500 to 1000ms is "lag", don't ever drive a turbo.

Foot to the floor has a slight delay totally stock because of drive by wire. I bet it's just more noticeable with the extra kick of a supercharger.
