So as per everyone's suggestions I went with the oem crash bolts and now have -1.2* camber on both front wheels. On the street it is very close to stock with slightly less oversteer than a fully stock suspension. I'll be testing it out in autocross very soon and will have my final thoughts after that.

Also I'm curious, assuming I put ~5,000mi and 4 hpde events a year on the car, how long will the stock control arm bushings last? Trying to figure out when to replace to keep the car from feeling sloppy.

How would you go about selecting springs for autocross use with a 1/2" to 1" drop? (i.e. spring rate and free length)
P.S I asked this question earlier in the thread and the only response was a recommended spring rate, which is not an answer to the question. |

Some Qs about Ohlins R&T vs RCE T2 (if both had the same spring rates on them..let's say, if both had 7k all around or 8k all around):
- I know they are diff (single vs dual adj)..but which is more aggressively valved? - Which has the overall better quality in general (external build, internals, valving, etc.) - If the T2 were setup similar to the R&T, as if it was single adj, which would be better for track and which has more aggressive performance? - Which is better for high performance driving and track? My sights are set on RCE T2 and will save for them...but also wondering if I should save a bit more and splurge on the Ohlins..and if they'd be worth the extra cost, saving for and getting them over the T2's. |

What class are you running? What mods are you limited to? What dampers are you on? Sways? Tires?

"Aggressively" - which has damping that can handle more spring rate OTS? ..also, which has the better and more advanced shim/piston/internal/valving design and engineering? Goal? ..mainly a DD with lots of canyon fun with a sporty/porsche/ferrari/supercar/racecar/F1/GT1-like handing (jk lol.. but if you think about it..it seems like almost everyone's tracked twin is a DD and it's everyone's same goal to make it handle like a GT1 racecar lol) with hopefully regular/bi-monthly track days in the future, when money permits, and also perhaps room to progress/improve at the track as time goes by. No serious track competition - just hpde, fun, learning and time trials perhaps. |

Yes, I do DD my FR-S with those tires (mounted on Enkei RPF-1 17 X 9 et +35 wheels), I've had them on for approximately one year and 15,000 miles. I will be lucky to make the end of the year without changing tires. This is with approximately 2 to 3 autocrosses a month between March and November.

If you're going off the shelf, you should get springs matched to the dampers. If you're serious about AutoX, then pick your spring rates, and then valve the dampers to match the springs.
