I was in the douchebag-grey 4Runner coming back from watching a basketball game in San Antonio last night. I was like, "ooh, a WRB HAY I KNOW THAT LICENSE PLATE." You kept me awake the rest of the way back

Right, but Radium catch cans (dual) are $400 and the oil cooler is another $500. Already looking at $4500 right there.

I gotta pay off the damage that is my car right now.

Going to get a Motive Power Bleeder and flush DOT 5.1 fluid in and finally get my Goodrich SS lines on.

Question for anyone that's done a FULL fluid change... Can you dry the master cylinder then bleed the brakes dry or do I have to keep a slight amount at the bottom of the master cylinder then bleed the old crap out till I see the new?

Yes to this X 100. @Boosted can confirm this too. This is why I got the Cusco strut bar with the built in MCB. A solid MCB by itself should work well in itself.

I've yet to do my brakes, but everything I've read says the latter.

Better play it safe then. I'll just bleed out till I see my new fluid.

Going with DOT 5.1 so it should be a nice balance of of temps. Also trying out the TRD brake pads to keep my wheels clean since they're ceramic. Not the best performance for high end driving, but I don't do it enough to justify a $300 pair of pads like the Project Mu's.

lol compared to an FJ, I don't see why.. you have the more "sportier" SUV, despite what my 4R badge says.

Would love to have a 4runner. Why don't you drive it to work? I try as hard as possible to keep unnecessary miles off my fr-s lol

Yes, MCB does a ton. Subarus have weak firewalls, this with steel braided lines and fluid make it a lot better. I think though I will still put my sti brembos on my brz and put willwood 6 piston on my sti.

Enjoy driving my car too much, I like being as low to the ground as possible. It's a V8 Sport Edition.
