How accurate would it be to use OFT's datalogging fuctions to record 0-60 times? It has the ability to log road speed and time.
If it's fairly accurate, I would be able to do a bunch of pulls testing different variables without having to look at a screen, and then view the results in the safety of my own home.

I would still manually calculate the needed RPM to hit 60 with your tires though since the ROM range of that 1mph could change the resulting time slightly. It should still be good for accuracy within about 1/4 of a second though.

Yeah no doubt no one posts 1/4 times. I'm actually more interested in trap speed as that is an indication of power (mine was 96-97). I should have around 180-190 whp (only guessing). Times are more of the 60' time which I could only do 2.1 with stock tires with about dozen runs of practice. My car also only has 5k miles on it. Could be that the engine is still fairly "tight". Edmunds likely went down the quarter mile several dozen times picking the best. Who knows. I'm just curious of what the ESC does for the quarter mile that's all. With all that low end torque you should be able to hit great 60' times . I was launching at 4-5k about as hard as possible so I really think I was power limited more than traction limited.

I got the New controller installed and so far so good (Thanks Rob). I will keep you all updated as well. Now I need the 1.5 conversion.

Hypothetically, wouldn't it be possible to plumb the ac blower into the esc. I mean since the typical ac blower can move 300cfm and our 2liter motor only consumes roughly 276cfm @7.5k redline we can have 55degree air going into the compressor for maximum air density and coolest air possible.

I was thinking about the 1.5 pack the other day. From what I understand the more plates we have to faster the dump pack can feed the ESC resulting in higher boost. I'm guessing thats why the small batteries in the 1.5 make a big difference. So would having three .5 packs instead of the original dump be even even better? You would have a total of 6 batteries and they would fit in the exact same place the 1.5 pack is now.
Just wondering if this has been tested at by Rob or shiv? |

I just tried this. I did a couple of 0-60 runs. Then I noted the time when the roadspeed changed from 0, the same time the throttle position went from 0 to 90 something percent. Then I noted the time when the roadspeed went to 60 and subtracted the times. Both runs were exactly 7 seconds. Kinda slow right? There are a few contributing factors to take into account. One is I had wheelspin pretty much through all of 1st gear and a lot of 2nd. And I have a few things I have to check out. One is that my throttle position never goes past like 91 percent. And another thing is the boost never went over 3.5 PSI |

All the extra torque now creates way too much wheelspin.
