liqui moly mos2 additive opinion

So about an our ago I dumped in a can of mos2 into my engine oil which has mobil 1 extended performance 5w30. First thing I noticed is they the engine is a lot quieter. From what I heard from bob is the oil guy forums is that is an additive that works compared to many snake oils.

I always have to ask this, why use an additive when you can just use an oil with high moly?

a lot of oil companies don't use moly as much as they use to. Maybe it's because they have found something better or maybe it's to save money I don't really know. But moly is proven to provide excellent lubrication.

The reason I run redline 0w20 is it's more like a 0w30 and has one of the higher moly contents. Usually in the 650 range on UOA.

I used to use a Moly additive in my oil 10 years ago, until UOA got common enough to find what I was looking for.
