just got off the phone with Rich, here is the summary.

1. Destination fees will be charged.
2. floor mats are included, He will look into the wheel locks nuts to see if he can throw those in for free.
3. All accessories can be 10% off. however, its best to order it from factory. if dealer have to independently install those accessories, a labor fee will be applied.
4. the first oil change is free. Subaru currently have a 2 year maintenance free promotion, if we were able to get the BRZ before the promotion end, he will go down his list can call us individually to lock in the contract.
5. ext warr discount is open to discussion. he will have to get back with me as to how much he can get it off by.

Throughout the call I can hear his GM yelling at him in the background…. i dont know if this is a show or is she really yelling at him.

according to him. we have 18 members that have put down a deposit for preorder. and we are guarantee to pay MSRP.

BTW i am only bargining on behaves of everyone who have put down a deposit already with them.

The mental picture I get from that exchange is pretty awkward and hilarious haha. And, actually, pretty unprofessional. Does she not realize that she can be heard?

Regarding the accessories, if it's cheaper to add accessories from the factory, do you guys know when we put in those requests? I thought that we basically select the color/trim and that's it, and the accessory/options are done when the car arrives.
Do we know what is installed at the factory/port, and what is installed at the dealership? Is it pretty much anything?

I found an article about what happens once the cars gets unloaded from the boat and get port installs for Toyota cars that was kind of interesting (to me at least): http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/25/au...l-touches.html

According to my dealer, Renick Subaru, you can add accessories to your order as long as you do so before the car arrives to the port. The accessories will be installed at the port thereby avoiding the cost of labor your dealership would normally charge you for installing accessories bought through them. So you only pay for the cost of the accessory.

Btw, I always assumed floormats came with the car? Do you meantersay that if we don't request it, we'll get bare floors with just the regular interior carpeting that's lined on the floor?

Great work sir!

Can I get an extra set of brake pads in lieu of the free oil change?

I thought I was the end of the list for preorders though (I'm #10)? He kept insisting that he would not take any more preorders after me, so I assumed that was where it ended...so 18 ppl are on? GREAT!!!! . Do all 18 of us get to participate in the GB deals?

Thanks for the heads up. So, when do we call Rich to tell him what options we want? Do we call him or will he call us? It's getting closer!

I'm assuming he was gonna call us with the list of options, cuz that's what he said when I first ordered. Regarding negotiations, not sure hahaha. This is my first time being a part of a group buy, let alone my first new car purchase, so I'm unsure

So we should probably start giving him a call in next week? What do you think?
