Custom Lug Nuts

I would like to have the lug nuts on my car be orange, to match the color of the car itself. However, I'm not sure if it's possible or worth it to paint the stock lug nuts or to buy something like NRG's (~$70 for a set).

If anyone knows of somewhere to get them cheaper, or if it's possible to paint stock ones please let me know! Thanks

This is the color/look I would like.

paint would chip off, you would need to get them powder coated or anodized

I bought new lugs for my car (when I lost my key socket) and almost gave into my inner ricer and bought orange ones. Sure glad as hell I didn't.

Don't give into your inner ricer. Stay strong my friend. Stay strong.

Edit: and $70 for lugnuts?! That's like paying $10 for a cup of coffee.. I'm in the wrong goddamn business!

Aluminum lug nuts is a bad idea for a street car.
See this thread for a very good summary in the second post:

What type of light lugnut design works best on stock wheels? When checking some out I found most wouldn't work with OEM wheels due to mating surface mismatch.

Yeah, I've seen the "I have more money than brains" lugnuts selling for $270 for set of 20. Ugh.

You know what they say about a fool and his money...
