No damage that I am aware of. I actually drove the car the rest of the day as I still had errands to run and it was after 5pm where I couldn't call the insurance. I didn't feel a jerk when she hit, just a loud POP. She was going pretty fast, and if you look at just how little the subframe damage is, I should be good. But you bet your ass I'm taking it to an alignment shop in the next week or two.

Thank you for the kind words

Few hundred from that I remember. Thankfully, I'm not paying for it. I had to pay for the deductable ($500), the Toms ($460??) and the new perrin tip ($89). Body shop is going to reimberse me for one of the tail lights, and the tip when the work is all done. After that, I just get to wait on the insurance to see how much of the $500 I get back.

Just one, lol. Only one light was damaged, so he said he could cover one under insurance. Other one comes out of pocket, but $230 for toms is a-okay with me

Car just went into paint (got a call). He said he was going to check it when it came out and let me know when I can pick it up (tomorrow or tuesday if paint is wrong). I stressed to him A LOT that the color needed to be perfect. I don't want to give her up, but I simply don't have the time to deal with paint problems

On my phone I honestly can't tell it looks off. I'd be pretty happy with that. Looks like the usual oem color match issues with whiteout. Highlights and shadows look spot on in the last picture. Ionno
I probably wouldn't have been able to tell it had been repainted had you not said so

zoom in. It looks REALLY white. I would be happy with the standard OEM match. It was a touch darker than the rest of the car but it worked. This is WAY too light.

For reference

Yea but so does the top of the trunk. Pictures aren't exactly accurate 100% unless you have quality equipment

If anything. It seems to be more of a satin finish than a gloss finish. I can't blame my iPhone for not displaying differences in color though. The display is pretty much garbage. Hope you like the next attempt though.

Wait until you get home and see it on the computer. It's pretty obvious

I'm all about industry standards. If I can walk up to the car and it doesn't catch my eye…done. I'm not worried about a perfect match. I saw the bumper the second I turned the corner, and all I thought was "F*CK!" On a positive note, he's going to try and re-paint the stillen wing to match. I think he was going to start there, lol, smaller and less paint.

Gonna look at a couple other options for another car and hope Tuesday turns out better. I really don't want to get rid of her. I've put a lot of time into this car.

It's got more blue hue to it than the rest. It needs a touch more yellow to the paint, to make it look less "white."

I can understand being disappointed, but unless you were ready for another car anyways, seems a little over the top to take that kind of monetary hit over a paint job. The paint on these cars is so bad, few months any difference will be less obvious.
