The $900 is for the HID's standalone. The packages that include them are a lot more than that.

Sticking with FR-S:
1. Less expensive 2. Lighter weight 3. Don't care for HID / Navagation 4. Preference in suspension setup for the FR-S because I plan on keeping the suspension stock until time to replace components from wear. 5. Availability - the BRZ will be sold in a much more limited quantity than the FR-S = MUCH longer wait time to get one. Subaru themselves have said they want the BRZ to be a rarer sight than the FR-S on the roads. 6. Subaru dealership - only one, way far away : plenty of Toyota/Scion dealership close by in comparison. |

Not buying either new, probably scoop one up used in 2-3 years after all the low income guys realize they can't afford it.

I'm sticking with the FR-S. I don't really care for leather seats and I've hated the front of the BRZ ever since the first time I saw it. If the photos from the NYIAS are to be believed, the nav unit will probably be an option, if not there is always aftermarket to look at.

Right, one buys for what their needs are. I for one, want it as a DD, so I prefer the extra goodies over a more bare model, mostly for track use, as the Scion is.

Maybe. The last set of balasts I held weighed <1lb each.. bulbs are more or less the same. The bixenon part probably adds a little weight too since it contains a tiny motor I believe. I've never taken bixenon projectors apart so I'm not sure on that part.

BRZ is a better value, IMHO, but the difference is almost negligible. I loled at the third option and even more so when I saw people voted BRZ 2:1.

Im with You, love the exterior, but prefer the interior of the Brz Premium. To me the FRS interior looks ricey with the red accents on the seats, just a bit too teenage for me. I have to make an argument, for an extra 1300 the brz do come with more then just HID and Navigation, those are just the main two options that we look at. I believe we get fog lights and etc. (reference me) BRZ selling point to me is Overall Nicer Interior, HID, good FRS Selling point is Cheaper, exterior looks a little bit better. I am young (23), not interested in tracking the car a lot, maybe 2-4 a year. Main point for me to buy the car, is to serve the purpose as a car and a panty dropper. the final factor will be Financing rate Right now, i think i would get the BRZ > FRS because of quality. The FRS is Cheaper but thats because it looks cheap. |

FR-S!
HIDs and NAVI!! That's not much to say about that, not much of a bargain. HIDs can be installed on the FR-S! Plus, I dont like either design of Scion or Subaru's NAVI/Stereo. Swapping that as well. Going to rebadge as too! Toyota!!!!
