No options on the Scion model. You get what you get. A release series edition may not have the red inserts at some point in the future, but at launch they will all have it. No choice.

I'm aware that the bolsters usually wear out fastest, but that doesn't change my opinion that the material in the center section of the seats (between the bolsters) looks different in the photos I have seen. The FRS looks to me like an all microfiber seat where as the BRZ looks to have some kind of a patterned fabric in the center section.

Spoilers.. maybe factory. Foglights are often dealer/port installed.
Most of the prices were there, but my point was that I expected subaru to actually release the official prices for everything on the car since we are so close to the rumored ship/launch date of April 20th. Also, I don't consider a scanned sheet of a piece of paper that someone leaked onto the internet to be "released". While I'm confident that those prices are accurate, I won't fully believe it until I see it on the website or in a press release.

Goodbye Scion haha

I told them they should've gone with $21k!

The FR-S front end > BRZ front end so....again don't see Scion getting hosed in any way here.

Trunk Liner? Really....

It's the sides that wear on seats, when you enter and exit your vehicle.
I'll go with bland over annoying anyday I've had cars with white factory gauges and hated them.

And no, the Premium is not the same seating material. The side bolsters are, the center section is not.

Scion lists the red accents as standard, so they'll be there.

I used to agree on the front end, until seeing both about 100 feet away from each other in person, lots of time to compare minute details and I lost all interest in the FR-S that day as a purchase.

I already agreed that they aren't getting f'd, or hosed, etc. Just that, IMO, the BRZ will sway the general public who shop by features and visual information only as many will find the accents and such to be less appealing than the BRZ premium's interior. That's my opinion of course, I haven't done a study on it

And the trunk liner was the heavy sarcasm part. People always reply to me with "And the trunk liner" since I always forget to include it so now I make sure I mention it.

Yes, the bolsters wear, but visually they are a smaller part of the seat so appearance wise, people will consider the whole seat, not just the bolster. Remember my points are aimed at the general public, not the people here who have been hard core into this car for a long time now.

Me! I didn't think I'd ever say that either. At first I *hated* the BRZ front end and LOVED the 86 front end. Then Toyota/Scion removed the HIDs.. and then I saw it in person and it become obvious for me..

I am going by what the consensus is and everyone is stating the Premium US spec is the same as the FR-S.

If you are talking ugly red accents as in stitching...then the BRZ has the red stitching also.

This is the Limited, not Premium interior.

Is there a good Premium interior pic somewhere, and we can throw all 3 up for overview.

I would have to agree with that. I originally like the FRS front much better in all of the old pics but now that both final versions are out I would probably go BRZ front over FRS...caveat is that the BRZ is a darker color so the mouth guard doesnt stand out as much lol

FRS is a little more agressive, BRZ is a bit more subtle. Both are cool.

I felt the same but I think seeing it in person is what really made the difference...many of the pics seem to make the bumper area appear much larger than it really is....I saw it in Atlanta and does it ever look sweet, but to each his own

6 and one-half dozen in my book. Scowling teenager or big plastic mustache; neither are sexy or gorgeous to my eyes. Thankfully, I don't see the front end of the car when I'm driving it.

Oh, and to hazard a trip back to the original topic, I'm fine with the price, assuming the car drives [i.e. feels/handles] equal or better to the Miata.

Also just because a manufacturer charges more for seat materials doesn't mean they are better in the long run. I hate leather seats, they wear super fast unless you take care of it, and they usually look like crap after a few years. But leather seats are more expensive.

Different kinds of cloth can wear differently too. Just because a cloth material is more expensive and might look better initially doesn't mean it will be the best choice for the long run.

Doesn't look the same to me.

Yes, all have red stitching, the accents that I'm talking about are near the shoulders on the FR-S seats.

Accessories, not factory options. Scion = Monospec from the factory except for RS cars as you know.

Absolutely. For those who are lucky enough to be able to garage our cars, and are willing to maintain them, then leather can last plenty long. It also doesn't stain like cloth. I actually don't care for the leather part, I mostly want the alcantara and heated seats. My back hurts often and heated seats make it feel better.

It's all preference though IMO. If you don't take care of something it will die earlier regardless..
