Greatly prefer the FR-S exterior.
Greatly prefer the BRZ interior (want leather/alcantara).

WTF, Toyobaru.

Might end up getting another used S2000, though I really want a fixed-roof and +2 utility.

Before you FR-Sers jumps ship, consider that it is a $1315 difference. A grand isn't chump change. OEM Navs are normally mediocre, and HIDs are more bling than function. That money could put you into a good set of rims, or put towards a great set of rims (Volks). Not to mention that will put you half way towards a great set of coilovers, or one hell of a stereo system that would put the BRZ's to shame.

So don't stress out too much.

I want the cheaper one! Track days and weekend races don't care for HIDs, feel good seats and a nicer stereos!

It is a pretty close comparison though for pricing.

Same, HIDs are the one thing I would want. Once you have a car with HIDs it's actually kind of hard to go back. They do make a pretty big difference at night.

But they aren't worth more then a grand. They should be a 300-400 factory/dealer option, or if you really want them you can get bulbs and housings for cheaper on the aftermarket.

I have a feeling Scion will open up options in the future. Once Subaru brings out the stripped BRZ which competes more directly with the FR-S I think the FR-S will also offer more options to compete with the BRZ.

I think Subaru will have to think twice about making these "limited availability". They're gonna cannabalize FR-S sales sooo bad!

Amen also we should get a group buy for las vegas scion folks. Maybe get some deals on accessories or something maybe waive doc fee? xD

FR-S is tuned for over steer.

$1200 for HIDs and navigation isn't what I call a screaming deal.
Yup ^^^^^

I don't want either of them anyway! HID's carry more weight, right?

The Scion red accents, ugly white tach and headlights that stick out past the bumper all add to the HIDs for me. The Nav is whatever, but I have a lot of dislike for Toyota/Scion's design choices on this one. Even Toyota used the black tach in the higher models.

Yep, a solid 2 lbs or so.

We'll see. Typically from Toyota/Lexus, HID's are about a $900 option by themselves and nav is about $1900, so that makes it somewhat of a good value to me. Having done a factory HID setup in my Lexus, I know that doing it after the fact can cost at least double that, so getting it from the factory is a much more appealing idea to me.

Still, if I got the FR-S, I would probably be ordering the European LHD HID/LED lights. It would cost as much as getting a BRZ, and I still wouldn't have nav (which I don't want, but still).

Most people consider HID conversions to be the cheap $50 PnP junk.

The real HID setups are worth it IMO, PnP.. no.

Yeah the thing with Toyota is they usually throw it into a package, so the price is inflated for the actual HIDs.
