The price is not bad. The $1300 for HIDS and Navigation is worth it over the FRS. Those options cost like 2k.

My dealer promised MSRP and I trust they will hold to that. That's about $1500 more than I hoped, but I'll pay it...and now the waiting begins.
I was hoping for under 30,000 out the door, but I can live with under 32,000. Maybe my dealer will give me a break.

And a better quality seat material and no ugly red inserts and no ugly white tach and.. most importantly.. a TRUNK LINER!

Yes.. there is sarcasm in the above. For me, the ugly FR-S headlights that stick out past the bumper skin mixed with the ugly red accents and white tach meant I could never buy a FR-S anyways... well not without spending more swapping all that stuff out.

I'm a little disapointed that Subaru only announced the MSRP prices and not the full price list. I want to know what the options are and what they cost. I expected a full build site to launch when the price came out since it is so close to launch.
Option prices were released awhile ago.. but yeah it would be nice if they added it to the "build your own" system.

Well after seeing the price between the 2, I think I'll probably end up going with the BRZ, it's a awful small difference for quite a few nice extras.

I don't know why you guys keep saying scion is fucked. I'm not ok with paying $ 3,015 more for the few unneeded accessories. Seems like most of you guys want the subie badge more than the heated seats..

Edit I'm comparing frs with limited 6mt

Lol I actually ended up guessing the right number? Yesterday when tripjammer was posting his guesses ending with 95 I told him 24995 as a joke and then I said 25495...anyway nav usually cost an additional grand on top anyway so with leds/hids/std nav very well worth the price. Only thing is I'm selling my car next month and didn't put a pre-order in so I don't even know when I'm going to be able to buy one...

Where does the 3k come from? It's 1.3k.. And it really comes down to what you want. A lot of buyers will consider nav, hids, nicer looking seats (IMO) and a matching gauge cluster to be worth the premium.

I don't think Scion is f'd, but the FR-S did just become a harder sell to the general population.

I don't think they're getting hosed. But some FR-S people were probably hoping for a $2K or more difference and might think that the $1300 is worth the Nav and HIDs.

Overall, the pricing for both the BRZ and FR-S landed right about where I thought they would. I think they were good choices.

There are no factory options beyond the transmission. Just the two trim levels. The other things like fog lights and spoilers on the premium and the rest of the options offered at the dealership are port-installed. Those prices have already been announced.

Exactly. When you add nav to a vehicle thats usually another grand so for this price I think the premium will sell very well.

Option prices were released or are you referring to that sheet showing the cost of port installed options that was leaked?

That port installed options list was incomplete and I would still think that some of those items like spoilers and foglights would be available factory installed and not port installed.

Only the Limited interior is nicer than the FR-S. The Premium BRZ is the same interior as the FR-S. So, for $1300+ more, you get Nav and HID. DRL and nicer headlights are subjective opinions.

need to see the 2 cars side by side. I still think from all of the photos that the cloth on the center section of the seats in the premium looks different than what is seen in the FRS. side bolster material looks the same.
