You don't need 3.0", which will support 700-750whp.

2.5" is good for over 500whp, and this kit will make roughly 280whp on 93 octane.

My Best,

Chris

I thought one of your customers picked up 2-3 PSI changing from 2.5" to 3.0"?

As of currently, I have a 3" Nameless resonated midpipe, and a 3" axleback exhaust.

I am in need of the part that connects to the header, and goes to the midpipe.

Nameless has a 3" downpipe, which replaces the overpipe for $799, comes with a 200 cell cat:

JDL Auto Design has an 3" over & front pipe for $749, no cat:

They also offer a 3" overpipe only for $399:

Spencer Fabrication has a 3" downpipe only (would still have to find a overpipe) for $250 straight and $340 with high flow cat:

AVO Turboworld has a 3" front pipe system for $1000!:

Am I missing anything here? it looks like it is going to be $700-800 no matter what route I choose.
We can build it catless as well, just so you know. PM me if you have any other questions.

I thought 3" was needed to keep back pressure down, and that to have the same level of whp, you'd need a few psi more to counteract the 2.5 piping? I really hope I can get away with a 2.5 for 430-450ish whp since it's a lot cheaper...

While you may pick up 1-2 PSI from a higher flowing exhaust, I'd save the money if your power goals won't necessitate the need for the larger tubing. Boost is a simply a measure of restriction.

Noise will increase going to larger tubing most likely, and the price will likely be more expensive to purchase.

You can never have too much exhaust on a turbo car, as the engines like zero restriction. But I think at the power levels the wide majority are running (sub 400whp) a 2.5" system is plenty adequate.

Damn. I was really trying to hit 300 rwhp with your kit on 93 octane safely. I already have a nameless 3" axle back and 3" nameless midpipe. Wonder if its worth it to get the 3" front pipe now that ive went this far.

I would, though I doubt you'll see much of a gain in HP at this power level.

Just keep in mind, our downpipe is 2.5"....so make sure everything will mate up.

Just go full custom.

Prob with almost every exhaust, is they have to try and work with stock placements, so they can bolt to stock locations, and other manufacturers components.

My mate made this baby up in a few hours. And its the straightest 3" exhaust I've seen for our car.

Yeah if you are on a city there are tons of exhaust shops that can fabricate that for cheap. The overpipe isn't as simple and as you can see it is still a more expensive JDL one...
