3" Downpipe / Overpipe / Front Pipe catless options?

Hello all,

Just trying to decide what options we have for the downpipe / overpipe / front pipe in 3". I'm going to have a 2.5" turbo header, and a 3" exhaust.

As of currently, I have a 3" Nameless resonated midpipe, and a 3" axleback exhaust.

I am in need of the part that connects to the header, and goes to the midpipe.

Nameless has a 3" downpipe, which replaces the overpipe for $799, comes with a 200 cell cat:

JDL Auto Design has an 3" over & front pipe for $749, no cat:

They also offer a 3" overpipe only for $399:

Spencer Fabrication has a 3" downpipe only (would still have to find a overpipe) for $250 straight and $340 with high flow cat:

AVO Turboworld has a 3" front pipe system for $1000!:

Am I missing anything here? it looks like it is going to be $700-800 no matter what route I choose.

Wouldn't a 2.5" manifold actually hurt more than help? We have a tiny motor and I would think a smaller diameter would help keep the heat and velocity up. :iono:

Ultimate racing offers their 2.75" overpipe/downpipe combo starting at $375

I have the Nameless catless full 3'' front/overpipe combo on my FB turbo BRZ. Love it.

Are you talking about the down pipe? Or the collector? When you say "2.5" turbo manifold" are you referring to the primary runners from the flange that attaches to the head or the pipe after the primaries join?

This would help me make sense of all this.

Sorry, I meant that the SPD kit comes with a 2.5 downpipe and most likely nobody will be making a custom 3'' downpipe for it. So we are alll stuck with the 2.5 downpipe.

So you're stuck with the 2.5" flange coming out of the turbo setup. After that you need:

3'' Midpipe (have)
3'' Overpipe/Front pipe (catless preferably)
3'' Axleback Exhaust which is part of the midpipe and muffler (Perrin, Invidia,Nameless, etc, etc) (Have)

I might just have to bite the bullet and buy the $800 nameless 3" overpipe/front pipe

Gotcha. The dp us good for the turbos potential. You could always fab a newer, larger dp for next to nothing. Or pay someone a bit to do it for you.

Nameless 3" dp (op+fp) and perrin catback, two reputible companies with two great products, nothing can go wrong there.
