Not really. They are still going to keep numbers of BRZ's lower then the FRS. Remeber Subaru is the one building both cars so they make money on no matter which one you buy.

Full options Limited model still under 30k

im quite happy about this.

Means there is only a small difference of within $5000 USD between all the FRS and BRZs on the road.

Apparently Subaru was so excited to announce pricing that they sent me two emails about it back to back. Anyone else get duplicates?

Anyway - it's good news, glad to see mine start with a "27" instead of a 28 or even 29 (which would have been insane). I can deal with that.

Queue the "why not get a WRX" debate again, where folks can debate apples and oranges all day...

The Limited BRZ MSRP comes out cheaper than my '11 WRX Limited that I bought at invoice via VIP pricing. The premium BRZ has more content than the base WRX (Nav, HIDs).

Unless I'm missing something the FRS is 1k cheaper, comparing price with destination to price with destination.

FRS: $24,930 (with destination)
BRZ: $26245 (with destination)

I hope people aren't cancelling FRS orders based on the autoblog article, because it's wrong

Finally! I'm dancing the happy dance! I can stop checking this forum and the websites 20 times a day! Huuuuge sigh of relief! And it's right where I thought it would be.

Now to hope SoNE doesn't inflate the price more than $300 or I'm gonna get pissed! And now all I have to do is wait for the actual cars!!!

Well, that's like $5 off my expectation, so I can't complain too much.

I kindda hate to say it, but i told you so. It wasnt going to be a $2k difference like most predicted.
If there is a mark up at the place i'll be buyinf from i may have to get the frs instead as the price with destination is already at the most i'll pay for this car. Anything over 26.5 is just throwing money into someone else's hand.

Cool, not an amazing price but I am willing to pick one up. Hopefully there will be some to drive after I graduate so I can completely commit to getting one. I'll probably end up saving the majority of money to just buy it out of my pocket since I'll probably end up waiting for them to become available.
