Yeah because mine was oiled well enough that it had seeped onto the cardboard box.

The red gasket and the bag are oiled but the panel filter seems dry...
Maybe absorbed the oil?

I'd appreciate some feedback from fellow forumites who have the Intake installed for a longer time now:
What are your experiences with it? any quirks or something similar?

Thanks in advance!

Modify your stock snorkel. Does the same thing but for free.

There was a thread somewhere where a tuning company tried modifying te stock storkel on the trd intake (vishnu or unichip iirc) and it threw something off. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I have the TRD usa intake and hks snorkel.. you get a nice induction sound if you add the snorkel, and I think I feel a bit more power mid and top range.. but nothing significant. Also easier to rev match...

I find it's a worthwhile mod.

I loves ma TRD intake.

Dont know or care if it provides more HP but it cleaned up the engine bay, eliminated the sound tube, and added a little bling under the hood.

Worth it
