Any specs on the standard Audio setup?

Since we know the specs anyone planning to upgrade their systems and what to?

Sat in a BRZ today, got the sales guy to turn it on for us. I closed the windows and turned on the radio. I don't know much about the specs of the stereo and how it relates, but I can say I thought it sounded LOUD and crisp. I was very impressed.

My impreza's stock set up sucks, so yes, blows it out of the water.

That is good to hear but not enough info for myself. I guess I'll just wait & see until I get mines & come to a conclusion.

Yeah I figured it wouldn't be very helpful since I'm not that knowledgeable about car audio. Just giving my personal impressions though, that I wouldn't be quick to write off the system that comes in the BRZ. To me, it was all I would ever need or want.

Here's a link to Subaru manuals for the Navigation that's in 2012 Imprezas and Foresters. I'm 99% sure this is exactly the same as we're getting in the 2013 BRZ.

It's just some random 2012 Forester I found online, but it'll get you a list of all the Navigation manuals.

I'm sure this is on the site somewhere, but I searched for a long time and couldn't find this anywhere.

I posted in Dave-ROR's thread on this forum, but I throw it out there again. IF I'm able to get this car (lot's of factors), then I'll de-install the bimmer, and install the same system in the BRZ (except the midrange).

Pioneer P99RS HU
Mosconi 6to8 processor
Mosconi 200.4 + (2) Mosconi 100.4
Tweeters: either Morel MT23 or other
Midrange: Audible Physics - either XR3M or 4" yet to be created
Mid bass: Audible Physics Arian 6.5
Sub: current IB 12" frankensub

I'm into audio - not into going to the track, so the added weight isn't a huge concern to me. My intention is to install the above in the most discrete fashion possible.

You do realise that is the manufacturer of Benz premium sound, yes??
It is nearly impossible to think you were being serious, given that a car in this price range and level of equipment/prestige CAN NOT have a stereo of that caliber and remain at the somewhat affordable price it is.

High Spec: Fr: 6.5/6.75" mid bass in the doors, 3" midrange in the dash and .75-1" tweeter in the dash (I'd guess a .75 is more likely though), rear probably 4", but maybe 5.25" with a really undersized grill.. I'll disconnect them anyways though so it doesn't matter what they are in the rear for me :P

Can anyone confirm these speaker sizes now that the cars have been released? I'd love to start picking out replacements for my future subie!
