Broke Oxygen Sensor during Header Replacement - Can i run w/o one?

Hey guys,

So i broke an Oxygen sensor during replacing my stock headers with JDL catless headers.

The threads are all screwed up on the OEM Header's cat's Bung and the Oxygen sensor itself.

I found this thread, it looks like the spacer blocks off the sensor from reading anything.

My question is do i even need one after the 'cat' if i dont have a cat?

Thanks!

Yeah, called them this morning and they are $224, lol!

So what is the point of putting the sleeve over the oxygen sensor in the tread linked below, if the oxygen sensor doesnt even sit inside the header? And how does that avoid getting P0420 codes?

thanks!

Dont bother making one: State if it's your front or rear of manifold O2 sensor.
Just post an ad in the WTB section here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=84

You technically do not need one but on stock tune your car will throw a CEL disable your cruise control, and it also runs slightly wierd without a rear O2. If you have a tune just have your tuner get rid of it and boom no need for it. Mine isn't even plugged in.

No cruise control due to CEL but my FRS ran fine without it. I say fine but not ideal so get it replaced when you can.

Have you tried rethreading it?? Or did you break break it?? Most muffler shops have the proper tools to rethread O2 sensors and bungs..
