Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread
Thanks for the post. I'm assuming you read through the first couple posts that showed the power gains or the massive torque gains. I'm also assuming you are being sarcastic since the system has been accepted and tested by multiple tuners. Either way thanks for stopping by and saying hello!

Many tuners have tested full exhaust, drop-in air filter, and tuned for e67-e85 and have reached ~205 to the wheels. I'm not trying to bash the system at all, BUT for an extra ~2k on top of supporting mods, do you feel the money is worth the torque gains (since the hp gains are minimal)? Yes torque rules all, but I wonder what the difference in torque would be if placed with a full-bolt on tuned 86 on the corn. I'm completely new to electric superchargers, the only thing I know are the ones sold on Ebay. |

I was skeptical at first too, but when you feel the low grunt of this system you are very pleasantly surprised. This is not your eBay special. It's not made for top end power. (There are gains but not as much as other systems which cost at least double of this setup) If you want that... your plans for the turbo is a much better bet. But for low end power and torque and cost of entry nothing beats this... Period. Just look at how much the area under graph increased below 6k rpms. Where are you located? I'm sure one of us would be willing to give you a test drive.Attachment 79106

I've been wondering something, and the question is probably dumb ...
I have an Ecutek tune and have launch control programmed into 3 of the 4 maps (2-4, where 1 has no RaceRom features and is the default map when I turn on the ignition). Quickly going to WOT holds the RPM's (in my case) at 5k. What would happen with launch control AND the ESC enabled and I floor it in first gear? Would I be going to WOT too fast for the ESC, anyhow? I unthinkingly did this from a dead stop once (without launch control enabled) and the engine just stalled. |

You don't want the esc running like that. Avoid it like the plague. As for launch control... Can you enable it without activating the esc switch?

Yes, I can enable launch control without the ESC activated but, honestly, this will never be an issue unless I track the car. Seems to me that, if I do, I won't be able to take advantage of both. The launch control will be the obvious loser. |

Also bear in mind that ESC+E85+OFT Tune is apparently more like 225whp... with all of that low end as well.

Funny thing is that I am on the ESC tune...i thought 11.25 was a bit rich as well, hoping it's just day 1 quirks that'll eventually work itself out after the ecu realizes the extra air is normal...

I feel the exhaust mods open up the top end so it doesn't drop off so much and provides for a smoother curve. |

because I am in the waiting list for the ESC. I just got my OFT, and wanted to do a stock log before I flashed, so I could use it as a baseline and compare later. Being a tuning noob, I am trying to teach myself by comparing my logs with others. I haven't found a How to yet to explain what everything is, and what are the preferred values. I know AFR ideal is stoich 14.7, fuel trims, maf voltage, vvt, etc.. I have no idea. I just noticed when WRB5titch shifts his afr doesn't spike like mine. http://datazap.me/u/target70/stock-tune?log=0&data=1
