I don't plan on lots of tracking, but The temps get high on track days. Perhaps the side vent proposed mod may do the trick?
Look forward to hear of the results!

Yes the length really does matter. If you add enough wire to get to the cabin you could be looking at .5 psi loss across the board if I remember correctly from Rob. That is probably worth 10 HP or so.

When you only have as much as we do to work with everything matters.

The thermal management discussion is interesting, but not a pressing issue. I use my car 100% on the street, and I've never reached the thermal limit for the controller. Now, with that said I installed my ESC last September, so I only saw a few weeks of warm weather use. As we move into June and July I'll know for sure about the need for everyday cooling. Still, as soon as there is consensus on a blast tube installation I'll install it because electronics just don't like to run on the hot side.

Even with a larger gauge cable?

Updated controller and harness should be delivered today! I'm excited to test it out, and if everything goes well get the 1.5 conversion

Same thing here.
I live in Florida and we've had a few 90 degree days already and I've never had a thermal issue. Yet....

I'm running the q300 catback, Perrin overpipe/ front pipe with hfc, and the stock headers.

It sounds amazing and the best part is that it's not annoying.

Good to know - seems that most ESC users haven't had heat issues. I've been mostly wondering if there was more of a solution to a possible problem down the road with cooling - and really, a system like this would be great to have on a track day without a hitch. I love the mid range torque I see on paper and from what others have reported. It will be good to get more reports on this during the summer. Please drive hard and fast!

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

Just as a heads up. Talked to @nlowell for a wee bit today (before his phone died) and while he did trip the 26.6 thermal sensor the esc never tripped the second sensor on heavy track use in 100+ Fahrenheit weather.

What that means is that he had the esc the entire time while tracking.

I'm sure he'll give a more detailed report but it seems the cooling mods are working and the esc may be viable for track days.

1.5 Dump Pack Install Day

@WRB5titch and I just finished upgrading our kits to 1.5 Dump packs. Took about an hour per car. As @Sojhinn mentioned, the biggest difference can be felt at the top end (5-7k RPMs). The pull continues up there like it does from 3-5k RPM. Very nice!

Now some pics.

Will start logging tonight. I usually log religiously after a major mod, but couldn't resist the test drive even though I didn't have my OFT. Will post logs during the week.
