This. Because e85 not only burns with a higher fuel concentration, but also burns differently than gasoline, the intake, exhaust, and ignition advance needs to be tuned to sync with the different fuels characteristics.

At what temperature does the controller go into thermal charger protection and at what temperature does it go into thermal motor control protection?

When fully charged, how long would the ESC be able to hold continuous boost on 3rd gear? 4th gear? How about on the 1.5x dump packs? This would be good to know for when I set up a timed relay for the push-to-pass mode.

I'm not certain the exact temps that cause the thermal to trip.

The ESC can sustain 1 to 1.5 minutes of continuous boost.

Mine is really nice to look at, but she's still stock as I'm still debating what to do with her.

Couldn't the controller be installed outside the engine compartment to keep cool - somewhere off to the side where you'd have an oil cooler etc? Sorry if this was covered - didn't find it mentioned.
In any case, I'm looking at August or so to order the ESC!

It's an issue with the length of wires and proper placement in the frs/BRZ. But cooling is not really needed for street use.

We are testing a cooling mod right now in any case. With some definitive results coming up tomorrow.

Hmm - is there that much more length needed for the wires ?
I don't plan on lots of tracking, but The temps get high on track days. Perhaps the side vent proposed mod may do the trick?
Look forward to hear of the results!

If the wires were longer, is there some reason it couldn't be installed in the cabin? Say up under the dash?
