Nice, I've heard good things about the airaid box when combined with this SC kit. Is that pipe from Nameless Performance, if so then I thought they all came powder coated? Also, it looks like you were able to squeeze the airaid box in there despite having an oil cooler. My oil cooler uses the same mocal sandwich plate and fittings that Perrin uses, so I'm afraid the airaid box wont fit with my setup. Which oil cooler do you have? Is it the Cusco kit or is it perhaps the 2014 Forrester oem oil cooler?

hard to say without a baseline dyno.

I don't really get into the throttle that much, but I would have thought something was built up in there Guess thats a good thing.

Finally got the airaid box in, just figured i'd share. I may just paint the cover black, the other cover they provide thats dark is not black and looks weird so I polished it up quick to match the pipe. Still needs to be polished a bit more.

Just did a little heat management on my intake the other day. I noticed since I added the nameless header underhood temps are getting pretty hot. Sitting still I was seeing pre-blower IAT's climb to 155 with around 84-86F ambient temps. Once moving they came down a good bit.

After the reflect-a-gold my pre-blower IAT's wouldn't go past 100 when sitting still in traffic. Ambient temps were around 75F then.

Not a fan of the bling on mine, but if it works, I'll take it.

Next up is some DEI Titanium exhaust wrap for the header.

Bill suggests the airaid box so thats why I went with it. It apparently makes some power so I figured why not.

I am kind of disappointed, i'll be honest I bought it so I could increase the whine of my supercharger (yes, the ricer in me), but I can't hear it any more than the stock box

I'm using the forester oil cooler (oem style setup).

Yes, nameless pipe, they come either powdercoated or raw. I bought it raw and then my buddy helped me polish it up.

That's part of having an OEM quality air box, it breathes from the front bumper so the blower whine is diminished. Try taking the lid off and going for a spin. I found it so loud that it was annoying and I put the lid right back on! IAT will go up without the lid too, so not really recommended unless you just want to make some noise.

Airaid will have a coupler specific to the Innovate kit very soon. Once it's available I'll post here with a part number.

@ntaphse - can't wait for that coupler. Even though I was able to get the new coupler I bought to work obviously, it was a very annoying and tight fit. The coupler needs to be longer.

I'll keep the lid on, but maybe I will fab up a new lid out of sheet metal and put some kind of louver/cutouts in it Its easy enough to fab something up.

As far as oil coolers, I think the forester XT kit is supposed to cool better and is way cheaper than the cusco unit.

Bit the bullet and picked up the innercooler upgrade kit and starting the thought process of what I need yet to install, and physical install process. I've seen some mention back when these were first released about some people doing it without removing the manifold - how did that turn out? If you could give me details on the types of tools you used that would be awesome - in looking at it the back end of the charger looks to be a bit of a pain to work around, getting to the 6 allen bolts to take off the back half of the blower. Any advice from anyone that has gone from stg1 to stg2 would be awesome - thanks!

Save yourself a lot of headache and pull the manifold. It is very easy now, especially when you aren't intercooled. It will take you longer with more risk of dropping something and losing it doing it all in the engine bay.
