Regarding "Race" oils.

Just keep in mind that X-lite is closer to a 40 grade oil than it is to a 20 grade oil. The viscosity at 100C is 11.9 and the HTHS is 3.6.

In most temps, Eco-nergy 5W-30 is thicker than 0W-20 Eco-lite but thinner than 0W-30 X-lite.

You only change the oil every 3,200,000 miles?

I've used 300V of varying weights on multiple vehicles with oil change intervals of 3-5k. Never had any issues. In fact, upon filling up my BRZ with 0w20 300V, the engine was noticeably smoother than the factory oil. I've put about 2,500 spirited miles on my current 300V, and it feels just as smooth as it did when I first changed it. Yes, they're really expensive. But I like to run the best I can afford. And that's 300V.

Some publicity and independent testing of Miller's Nanodrive racing oil. Enjoy!

I might try the Nanodrive for the next oil change. Price is comparable to Motul, and has proven gains on multiple vehicles. I'm just wondering if it can last 5k with street and autocross miles.

I don't see why not. I'm sticking to 3k intervals personally since my car gets tracked often but I might get a UOA done next time just to see if I can go longer.

Here's some more info on durability: http://performanceracingoils.com/PDF...case_study.pdf

They did a case study on a race car and the Nanodrive oil lasted 1700 race miles without ever needing to be changed!

0W-30 to keep the pressures up since I'm running an oil cooler.
