I'm still working on some cleanup and the best way of securing the hose up top. Right now I have it zip-tied in place but it's not secure enough. As soon as I figure that out I'll update this post with directions and pictures up top.
nlowell, have you come up with a solution for adequately securing the end of the hose by the controller?

Last I saw he hadn't yet but he does have a decent temporary solution.

Not yet but my solution is holding steady for now. I just cut a hole in the hose, 2 metal spirals from the end, and used a zip tie to hold the top at an angle. This directs the air flow directly at the controller. I still need to install a screen on the inlet so that I don't throw a rock or anything small into the controller...that would be bad.

Can a rock actually go up the tube?

I was thinking of using fog light bezel and pvc pipes, connect both side together with elbows
to get the most air flow, plus the fog light bezel acts like a scoop

@nlowell is doing a similar idea but just use flexible tubing. Much easier.

Interesting to read about the esc in the miata forums. Rob I'm assuming you are making the esc for the miata as well and shiv is selling it directly to them?

The earliest adopters waited like 8 months from Fentons first post. Waiting for the next batch is not going to kill you. Place your order, and do other things to get ready like; order your batteries, setup a controller cooling duct, plant a tree, start your first novel, etc. At least you'll be ahead of the peeps still on the fence.

It may be a little over dramatic but part joke too. Though it seems like the waiting list for the first 2 groups was between 2 and 3 months(*note this is a wild guess), If as many people in other forums have already gotten in line, that could bump it to between 4-6 months. True I'll probably be waiting 2-3 months for my OFH.

I wonder how much more interest in the ESC before this "side project" overwhelms Rob's time/ability. And he has to either pass it off to someone else, quit, or invests further to make this a full fledged business. (just thinking out loud) I don't know the profit margins, but you would have to be blind to not recognize the universal appeal of this system, I only see interest increasing as more people get their hands on it and spread the word.

Yeah,

I waited in agony for about 8 months to get mine.
Sure glad I was in the first group.

By the way...
It is worth the wait.
