What if You had 5 Grand to Spend

Title pretty much sums it up. If you had $5,000 what would you buy for your BRZ? I'm wanting to do some upgrades to my stock BRZ but don't know exactly what.

Depends what kind of person you are. Do you like performance or aesthetics?

I would personally do wheels, tires, and coilovers.

Personally I like both. The thought of a turbo or supercharger is very appealing. But coil overs, new exhaust, wheels and tires etc. is also tempting.

Lots of track time and the associated maintenance... then progressively move towards brakes, wheels, tires, suspension and tune.

That's not really in my character, I'm more of a person that babies my cars and run the guts out occasionally.

I'd say if it had to be spent for mods. Wheels and tires.
If it was me trying to be somewhat responsible. I'd put the majority of it towards paying the car off.

$5k won't get you to FI and a proper tune, and then you always have the fun of knowing it could all go up in smoke.

+1 for paying down the car

+2 for tired and wheels

If you're looking to baby and enjoy it, do something that will make you smile every time you get in without adding potential future costs. Better handling is always nice and I've heard some great exhausts.

For $150 you could go buy the cheapest tires Walmart sells and smile till you burn em' off. My buddy has a large paved strip on his property leading to the house. Turning off the nannies on this car is Nirvana. I never got why people drift until this weekend. and the best part is you'd still have $4850 left!

That's called a "driveway".
