I've been searching through the an-21u thread on XDA and it doesn't look like there is a way to change the Bluetooth stack short of creating a custom rom.

The wiring is a different story haha. Some of the wires on mine were actually mislabeled/miscolored so I had to go by the diagram on the top of the head unit.
Then after everything was put back in place.... The sound only came out of one speaker, took me a while to realize it was something as simple as the the balance needs to be slightly right and down. I guess it's because I have the harness that allows me to use the 8 speakers and amplifier in the car.

Still not sure exactly about the backup camera, I assume its this last unplugged wire that I will have to cut into and add an RCA connector.
yeah it sounds like that is the remaining component for your backup camera.

i've been down the same wiring route. the previous version (the original dashlinq) required a fair bit more wiring to make work in the fr-s. still not too bad compared to a generic universal unit though.

Anyone brave enough to see if they can freeze the main screen app. Would like to just go straight into whatever launcher I'm using, especially when using home button...Just tired of resetting radio due to trial and error. Got titanium backup working so that helps a bit....

units ordered and should hopefully come in this week. Anyone have recommendations on good apps to download for the head unit? Obviously there's Poweramp and Torque, but I'm sure there's others people are loving on the unit. Just wondering what those are!

Is this the update that makes the "C:" drive bigger so it doesn't run out of space as often?

Man, even if not, it's super cool that they helped you out even though it wasn't their fault that the unit stopped working. I'm liking these guys' support from what I'm hearing.

Any chance you'd be willing to throw those files up on dropbox or somewhere else accessible so that if any of us run into a similar issue we can use them?

Yes. Had planned to ust wasn't trying to do it at 3 am. Lol I will upload to dropbox now.
A warning: although this is slightly different than software that shipped I wouldn't recommend upgrading unless you have to.
I did notice that the removal of dimming feature some of you had was included in this update.
Theming is a little different too
I am trying to get info from then regarding a repartition of storage. I also raised a flag regarding Android 4.1 being the only version susceptible to Open SSL exploit to hopefully push a kit Kat upgrade!

So, first real test of the HU was this weekend, mother's day road trip. I basically ran Pandora and Waze most of the way and it was pretty awesome. But I have a few issues I noticed. Pandora keeps crashing after a few songs are played like others have noted, I only have it and Waze open, and thought it was happening only when Pandora was in the background, but it happens in the foreground as well, not sure how to fix that. The other issue has to do with lights. The white button lights come on with the headlights, and I noticed that when I get out of the car and lock the door with the door pad the HU lights stay on, just like the Headlights do for a few seconds. But, when the headlights turn off automatically, the HU white lights stay on. This doesn't happen if I hit the lock button on my key fob an extra time which turns the headlights off, and I can also turn the stock from auto to off and back to auto after I turn the car off, but those are things I shouldn't have to worry about. I'm not sure what's keeping those lights on but I don't want it to drain my battery.

It would also be nice if the unit got a bit dimmer at night, at least on apps like Pandora, which are way to bright, I might just download that "night mode" app from the market though.

It's awesome you guys got root though, if you can really reprogram the buttons and default launcher that would be sweet.

What do you mean by "removal of dimming feature"?

In settings previously Screen Dimming "Headlight Linking" I could only select "headlight linked" or "time of day". Neither were good for me. In new version this is just a simple on or off check box.

As promised here is the update. Readme inside zip.
