I'm running the 485 setup with 1000's. All is well so far and I have about 450mi since the tune on it now

No giving it gas to keep it idling until it warms up, that gets real old real fast. You stated you hadn't been able to get larger injectors to start and idle perfectly, so there would be a sacrifice if I didn't switch back to stock injectors. You assured me we'd be able to hit my power goals easily on stock injectors, I was very weary of this but it was your assurance (and Mike's) that sold me on going back to stock injectors.

2.) At Mann Engineering, sometime around 4pm before you started on my car, we discussed what the power was on the smaller turbo setup, and you said 15psi would probably be more power than my goal (400/300), so there wouldn't be a need to use the EBCS (that is still installed). We talked about roughly what that whp/tq would be on the MAHA to ensure we didn't exceed the tq for the clutch.

I'm really just trying to figure out why it's so low. When you were done with the car we stood around discussing this for 10 minutes... You said the stock injectors weren't maxed, and suggested that the GTX3076R could be much less efficient than the GT2871R at 15psi, which doesn't seem to be true. Is this just because the stock injectors are maxed? Is the larger turbo really less efficient at 15psi?

In the end I spent a lot of time and money to lose power, add turbo lag, for better drivability. I don't understand why I can't have power and drivability
Check your PM's as there was a miss communication on our part. We would like to take care of your vehicle, so give us a call when you get a chance.

Hardwiring will ensure no drop across the whole RPM range, but at those levels not necessary at all.

With the larger pumps it might be more of an issue but yeah what kind of IDCs are you really running? Not much downside to hardwiring other than having to run some wires and install a relay/fuses somewhere.

I've also been looking at the 485 instead of some of the other options since it just seems to be a better pump altogether even if it is a little large for a GTX2867R even on E85. Then again I'll also be using ID1000s which are overkill as well.

Well. On the green wire to the pump I'm reading 8.65v at idle. It must be regulated.

Hmmm...so there's some good to be had here. I dont neeed more flow but if i remember right higher voltage should lower the strain on the pump.it seems like Walbros dont like low voltage. That's a common discussion on gtr's and ive been reading about non hardwired failures on those cars.

That is interesting because no FRS/BRZ running ACN 91 has ever come close to those numbers on my Mustang (at the same boost levels). With e-85, yes, but not ACN 91.

Food for thought... PM's IDC (port) is 88% on his current tune (that made 270whp on Manns dyno). 15psi, 88%idc, afr's proper. So, the air/fuel mixture is proper at 15psi and the injectors are no where near the "ragged edge". Larger injectors will do nothing at this point. The car does not need more fuel. It would appear that the car needs more compression and then it could use more fuel. There could be other contributing factors.

I for one want to see a trap speed (1/4 mile). Dynos are tools. Without a pre and post pull on the same dyno, numbers are almost meaningless. Too many variables. But... trap speed can be a very good indicator of power and has less variables.
